I purchased a 2010 SS/TC in late December (one of the last on the east coast, as the dealer search told me and proud of her) and have found my self here alot. Do a Google search on just about nething related to a LNF, 2010 Cobalt SS, Cobalt performance, blah blah blah blah blah, etc. and what hits high is cobaltss.net.
Then go read the forum, 95% BS mixed in with 5% info. Whys everyone bashing here!?!? Or if your not bashing we're getting 1/2 a$$ info.

I have worked on alot of engines, rebuilt about a dozen now, worked on many more. I have a clue what i'm talking about but not claiming to be a LNF expert by no means. In fact the LNF is the most sophisticated system i have ever owned/worked on.
But this place is loaded, LOADED with IMO and not cold hard facts. Theres alot of you guys who r out there to make the most HP they can and say screw the factory warranty, and I commend you, hell if I had the $$ to do that sure as **** I would. But there seems to be alot of members out there who are in the same place i am and want to enjoy what R&T and many others consider the best bang for the buck FF car out there now (well was out there

It seems like every one is trying to push you to Trifecta, HPT, BYT, ZZP, etc. I'm sure you guys are good at what you do, like I said if could aford to say screw GM I would be on the phone with one of you tuning to the hilt. But were not all in that place, and i guess what i'm saying is can we just kinda BAND UP and take each others side for some hardcore real life info on a pretty sick litte diddy of a car! lmao
It seems like there is alot of knowledge here and the best thing we can do is help each other. I'm tired of searching something and having to read through 3 pages of bantering to get the simple 1 liner answer ur looking for. If you wanna argue thats what the wife is for, we're supposed to help each other! If its your opinion than start it out with IMO, if u have facts let it be known! HeII i almost **** my pants when i found out that my K&N was gunna blow my motor up......pages and pages later i find out, well my trims will be high. Little bit of difference!!
With all that said..... I have put on a K&N SRi, i'm in the process of teeing off my stock oil pressure switch to install a gauge, and i have the pope's blessing! AKA my dealer! Every (2 times) i have wanted to "mod" my car or alter it i have contacted my dealer, explained to the what i want to do, let them get back to me and they have been happy to oblige my request. Sometimes it helps to be honest, build a rapport with ur local dealer, they can only be ur friends in the end!!! Trying to fight with them off the bat is only gunna **** them off!

I am not going to bash you as i spent months reading these forums, especially the sticky ones.(hint hint) and have learned a lot about my car and have modified it quite a bit from where it was in September.
After 5 months on this forum other than special builds on your car, just about everything you need to know has been posted and then some on your car. The rest is just having some fun IMHO.

There's definitely a whole lot of junk in these forums. But it's still a goldmine of information if you know where to look. Hell, I learned to tune my LNF from these forums and one other.
I used to have a guy that was like a librarian on my old focus site. He would always be the first to awnser....he would quote another thread......then lock that one. But you always got your anwser.
I tried to use the search feature for something as simple as spark plug torque and I had to sift through pages of bullshit. Let's get to the point and stop posting. I read a post the other day I went back and read this post

NOT TRUE at all, i know theres alot of research, logging, and thoughtful though into many problems, i'm a mechanical engineer and know the hardships of failed attempts, thats different than bashing someones intension's/ideas. I guess u proved my point more, we are here to discuss cars, and argue the facts, no opinions!!

nahh u didnt do any harm and i agree esp in technical threads theres been numerous times ive had to read through 30 pages to get an answer and when u start a new thread ppl always tell u to search

You have assumed all people in this forum are here to discuss cars. what you call bashing seems more to be a debate about someones tastes or ideas and are probably used to debating ideas in your world in what i would call a civil white collar manner.
