Info needed!
Ok, so, as some of you may know I recently bought a slightly modded SS/TC. I am still getting used to the car, and unfortunately I do not have an owners manual to answer these questions for me.
I am trying to figure out if my car is already tuned or not before I go to ZZP this week (I found out I am less than 30 min away from them!) And when I press the traction control button im my car, after turning T/C off, it briefly flashes the words "Competitive mode" on the display.
Is this the "select a tune" or whatever feature that trifecta has that I read someone mention on here? Or do all stock LNFs have this? If so, what does it mean, and how do I turn it on or off?
Thanks for any info.

Pressing the button once turns off your traction. Pressing and holding it until "Competitive Mode" flashes enables launch control. This only allows you to rev the car to 5k or so before you take off, and helps with your launching. To go back to regular mode, just press the traction button once more.
Some people will put their dual tune feature on this button, or on the cruise control button. But the best way to find out if you are on a tune vs. stock tune, is find out what your max boost is. Stock its like 11psi... on most tunes its 21+psi.

Everything on>>>>> self expanitory
Traction control off>> traction control off, ESC on, no launch control
Competitive mode>> traction control off, ESC on , launch control enabled
Everything off >>>> traction control off, ESC OFF, no launch control?
The last one I don't remember when if you turn everything off if launch control is still enabled or not.
Sorry it's been 5 months since I've driven mine.

Your thinking ESC. There are basically 4 modes..
Everything on>>>>> self expanitory
Traction control off>> traction control off, ESC on, no launch control
Competitive mode>> traction control off, ESC on , launch control enabled
Everything off >>>> traction control off, ESC OFF, no launch control?

Option #2: Comp mode; shuts of abs and esc, and activates launch control.
Not very complicated, and if your not totally dull. It makes sense.
Comp mode = nanny systems off.
By default both abs and esc are enabled.
Option #1: is to just turn off abs, which is what I press every time I get into my car. So I can spin all I want.

Jesus.. had a typo there... haha yeah, i mean to type 15. Mine was somewhere in the neighborhood of 14psi when I bought it stock.
And I made another mistake as well, damn saturday brain farts. You dont hold teh button to get into comp mode.. you tap it to turn off traction control, then tap it again. The double tap, if you will.
Just dont mind me. ugh.

Thanks for the info! My guess is that I WAS tuned, but when the dealership had the car they reflashed it back to stock. Ill check next time I get in the car what I am boosting at, but I am pretty sure it tops off at 16, and then it drops down. My Torque meter on the display will spike at 280ft-lbs and then drop right to 260 and hold around there. Thanks for the help.
I just hope they aren't playing games with me about the warranty. If they've already voided the powertrain warranty for life(If they found a tune), and the suspension warranty for the coil-overs, and told me it was gm certified, then what the hell the warranty actually cover?

Well when you bought the car, they should of included which warranties are still available on purchase of the vehicle. If they bought the car tuned or modded and de-tuned and de-modded it and sold it with the warranty, then it should STILL be active. If you did any work to it, you need to talk to your dealership about it BEFORE doing anything.
I personally said hell with it and modded my car as soon as I got it lol. I don't trust GM dealerships at all so to me a warranty means nothing. I bought my car with 31k miles so I already lost the bumper to bumper but I still "had" the powertrain warranty. I bought my car bone stock, doesn't mean it was always that way lol.
