injen charge pipes

Does the lower piece of the charge pipe connect to the intercooler or the rubber hose that connects to the intercooler. I was thinking about buying this charge pipe and was wondering how it connects.

Injen doesn't offer a solution for the piece that goes from the intercooler to the intake manifold. Just the piece that goes from the turbo to the intercooler. In all honesty though there's no need to replace the lower charge pipe. It's not like anyone is ever going to see it and the lower charge pipe is an adequate enough piece.

The Injen hotside pipe is a 2 piece turbo side assembly. He is refering to the lower piece that attaches to the IC and whether or not it attaches directly to the endtake or if the stock flex piece is used.. That is at least how I am understanding his question.

You are right, that is what I'm talking about. Thanks by the way. The pics of the pipes that I have seen of the lower hot side just didnt look long enough, but I guess it is

This.

And some people say that the couplers are a bit short. I disagree with that. I mean sure, they could be longer, but they fit without any issues and hold no problem.

I love mine, yeah you dont need the upgraded couplers but i got them anyways makes it easier and a better chance of the pipes not blowing off.

Looks good! Pretty easy install? You don't have to take the bumper off do you?

Very easy install, and no the bumper does not need to be removed. The fact that you'll probably have a harder time removing the stock charge pipe than you will installing the Injen pipe should give you a basic idea of how easy of an install this will be.

Just to give you an idea, I had someone helping me so we could get done quick and right. I got mine done in 10 minutes. Would take 20 minutes tops to install. Just make sure you tighten the clamps with a ratchet and not a screwdriver otherwise your pipes will pop off and I think that's the main reason most people's slide off. And on the lower one, try to slide most of the coupler towards the intercooler. the lip for the clamp to catch on is a bit farther back on the intercooler than on the charge pipes.

Use hairspray helps lube to get it on, and when it dries it helps hold like glue
