Injen Intake issue

I have a Chevy Cobalt SS TC with GMS1 and recently bought an Injen air intake and installed it. I noticed some loss of mid-range torque (between 1,500 and 3,500 rpm). I read online on different forums and found that others have experienced the same issue (in different cars) with increased high range power but I haven't had a chance to open up the car at higher rpms. Some people said that the extra mid-range torque with the stock air box is due to artificial boost created through resonance at those speeds but the Injen doesn't have the resonance at lower speeds. The stock air box resonance reasoning convinced me until I noticed that the boost gauge reads about the same pressure (I would imagine should be less due to the loss of artificial boost) so I'm not sure if that's the actual reason. I have also noticed that the turbo spools up a little more quickly. Has anyone had a similar experience? Is there a way to fix that? I don't want a custom tune because of the warranty. Thanks in advance!
