Just installed my trifecta tune today and god damn it's nice. Seems to work really nicely with my exhaust and CAI.. Car pulls like a mother ******.. 1st 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear pulls I have a hard time keeping the tires planted if I'm not carefull. I can only imagine how the car will do when it's not so god damn hot and muggy here. I've definitely got to give props to Vince's service. The guy has the patience of a God. I called the guy so many times today that he started answering the phone "hey there John" by the end of the day.. lol.. He still worked with me until I got everything straight. Top notch product and customer service.. Couldn't ask for anything more..

I listen. That's why I didn't go with Trifecta.

Yeah haha he knew my name as well after all the calls made between us. You couldn't ask for better customer service. I can't wait till I get my SRI from CIA and my DP/exhaust installed.

I know all about rich A/F's as it's an old trick used to limit detonation on high compression (read higher boosted) cars. It was one of the ways supercharged Mustangs would survive with their Hyper pistons which are relatively weak compared to forged pistons. Anyway, we ran my 11 second quarter mustang in the low 11's A/F to keep it alive.

It worked, but these DI cars do not need to be run rich compared to regular FI cars.

Also, if I recall, the pistons in our cars are forged and oil cooled on the bottom. They don't generate hot spots causing pre-ignition. Also the fact that you are recommended to use premium fuel (burns slower) helps with eliminating detonation.

I'm sure the Trifecta product is great, I just won't be running low A/F's in my car.

That's why it's important to data log. With the data log, you email him the file where he can then fine tune everything, email the updated tune and make the car run mint with no extra charge. Vince isn't a dummy and he's not about to **** anyone.

The crank and rods are forged, the pistons are cast aluminum.

I was going with HP Tuners til I saw an email stating that they basically have so much on their plate that they can't stop what they're doing to open more stuff up to LNF owners. I'm just going to save for a gt3071r kit and hope that there's some fuel tuning available by the time I have the money.

The new tune is switchable. Meaning stock A/F's when in stock mode and modified A/F's when in tuned mode. I don't know why anyone would need to stay in tuned mode unless racing. My 2 cents.

Glad everyone who has received and loaded their new tune is loving it and, most importantly, NOT experiencing a single problem.

Thanks again everyone for choosing Clear Image and Trifecta.

Here's the info I had posted in the original release:

TriFecta Performance Tune

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TriFecta Performance continues to offer innovation and a level of tuning no other company or tuner can match.

We are happy to offer their latest and greatest tune for the turbocharged Cobalt SS.

Along with the innovative hand held harware, the "GT Tuner" and all of it's convenience and time saving features, this newest tune offers more power, and is completely customizable to allow the user to choose between multiple tunes on the fly. One of the biggest break-throughs is the tune is NOT detectable at the dealerships. No spare PCM's are required. You do NOT need to pull your PCM to send it to a tuner. No down-time and no hassle at all. Data logging is included with personal service from the owner Vince to fine-tune your car.

This is NOT a "canned tune". Rather, it is custom written and adjusted for each and every vehicle.

Tune is $350.00 plus shipping of $35.00 (for GT Tuner hardware) or $20.00 (for data cable).

TO ORDER, SIMPLY FOLLOW THIS LINK:
https://www.trifectaperformance.com/...r/default.aspx

REMOTE dyno tuning is also available. With the innovation in technology TriFecta is capable of, your car can literally be custom dyno tuned from thousands of miles away. This is a service NO OTHER company or tuner in the world is capable of offering. Ask for details on this service.

lol.. funny you say that, because that is EXACTLY what happened to me. My account has been in the red all week due to the extra $200. I'm a poor sap who has a tight budget to work with and hadn't budgeted for the extra loot. Wah Wah Wah, alright I've cried enough.. The tune rules though!

lol... Yeah I paid all my other bills, and I did have the loot available but I budgeted only for the tune and not the extra $200.. You don't charge for usage of your data cable? Interesting.... well just like everything in my life, a week late and $100 freakin short!

I understand where you are coming from. Though I must say I have had no drop off in 3rd and 4th. Been running the tune for 5,000 miles now and it seems if it was running to rich that it would through a code or something of the sort. Power never drops off throughout any of the gears and I picked up a fair amount of speed onthe top end of the track. Maybe ya should buy his tune and try it for yourself to see that the product is not as bad as you are saying it is. He has access to way more tables than HP tuners so I am sure there is a way that he is tuning the cars to make it run right.

So I datalogged my car yesterday and sent the files to Vince. Today when I got off work Vince had sent me the updated tune for my car so i installed it and took it for a spin. I don't know what he changed but it is nasty. I can punch it in 2nd and spin the tires no problem now. Updated tune is running great and not causing any problems. I highly recommend CIA and Trifecta for people wanting performance parts and a tune.
