Installing new exhaust.

Hey,

Got a hahn exhaust for christmas. My question is, I really want to keep the stock exhuast "stock" by not cutting it. Has anyone dropped the rear axle and replaced the exhaust that way without cutting it? Basically all I wanna know is there a way to replace the stock exhaust without cutting it. I appreciate the feedback.

Thanks!

Just as Mark stated...

But you will have to re drop the rear beam if you ever want to re install it also. Alot of work, for 1 simple cut.

if you reaaaaally foresee yourself putting the stock one back on. or wanting to sell it. have them cut it and put a 2 or 3 bolt flange in there

You would rather drop the rearend down and rebolt it then take 15 seconds to cut the pipe with a sawzall??? I don't see the logic in that really.

Are you getting it professionally done at a shop? They could toss it on a lift and maybe slide it out with the rear suspension fully extended. I would try jacking the back all the way up (if you are doing it at home) before taking the time to drop the axle.

Cut it. 30 seconds with an angle grinder or saw. Easy.

After getting a aftermarket exhaust why the hell! would you want to put your stocker back on

Just cut it in 1 place 2 if its being a royal c*** and then be done with it.

Plus, if you make straight cuts, you can just weld it back together.

No, I install and do all the work on my car myself. So I would have to jack the end up high enough to remove the rear axle. Would I have to get it realigned after?

The reason I dont want to cut it is because say down the road I wanna go back to stock and dont wanna weld (I know its not that bad to weld) but I just dont like cutting it

I would say to align it... Just to make sure you have it all on straight, more or less as a precaution.

no need for an alignment ...and its not alot of work at all to drop the rear beam...jak up car...take off back wheels....unbolt one bolt of the shocks (one on each side) and your done... gotta jak the cart up anyways to get to the exhaust..
