Well it is the intake of course, has nothing to do with the tune, the MAF sensor is EXTREMELY sensitive as to where it goes, also if you have any unmetered air going into the engine this will happen

IE: If the pipe is wider than the MAF is calibrated to believe or there is a loose or non-airtight connection after the MAF.

pics of this intake? it's fairly tricky to make a well designed, working intake. the maf has to be in the right area, at the right angle, in the right size piping, etc. this is why we don't all piece together our own kits.

Dude, you need to seal off the vent hose air leak that you have right now, that might fix your problem. I have a custom tune and I installed a Dejon intake after I had it tuned and I have no issues to speak of. Still pulls hard, boosts the same as programmed (holds 21 all the way to redline) and my gas mileage has not changed so I do not think it is the design of the intake per say but maybe an air leak or maybe it is loose at the turbo connection make sure you check the connection at the turbo.

thats why... you need a tune in order for the intake to work... my problem is that i replaced the airbox with a pipe and plug the sensor in but its not working... my boost is at 0 when i press the gas... when i disconect the battery and plug it back in it works for about 3 minutes and then the check engine light comes on... and it stops working...

I used a 3/8 inch fuel line tool (you use to remove the fuel filters from fords) to remove the stock stainless hose for the car. A mechanic or auto store should have the tool. Then you need about 1.5 ft 3/8" ID heavy duty rubber hose and two hose clamps and you have fixed the problem. Or you can sometimes find a product in the help section of the autostore called an emissions hose someone else used that to fix theirs. It has a double berbed fitting that fits the stainless hose and a rubber hose that attaches to the other end of the barb and the intake. I know it is hard to understand, but I dont have pictures.
