Low or no boost. Vacuum leaks.

take the fasteners out of the panels on the inside of the corners of the bumbers underneath the ends of the intercooler. You can pull them out of the way and check the intercooler connections on both sides . takes about 15 minutes.

Yeah, he pwned my bumper cover, my ic, and one of the ic brackets. I ordered the ic from genuinesaab. I understand that it's probably not the best, but I was just looking for a stock replacement. The stock unit is $412. The part from genuinesaab was only 300 shipped. I'll let you guys know how it fits when I get it. I'll put pics up of my busted ic when I get it out. I already sprayed the hair and blood off of it.

You could do a boost leak check which would identify the issue and location. Requires some self made items, source of air and a little work. Google it on the internet, I'm sure you will find some sites that explain this process.

The other part would be codes (but I had no SES light while I had a leak in mine, I had stored codes only, but never a light so without a reader you would not see them). Typically the codes will relate to the MAF or bank rich (because metered air is being lost). Also signs of low boost, no boost or a nice sound when your under boost (the air leaking out).

Thanks, my man. I try not to worry about the little things.

I forgot to add that when I start my car up, black smoke comes rolling out of the tailpipe and it really just won't stay running on its own.

Well, I won't be able to do a comparo afterall. My insurance adjuster found more damage on the car than I want to pay for, so it's at the bodyshop getting fixed by the pros instead of me. My insurance company will end up putting a stock ic back in the car, so I'm just going to send the genuinesaab ic back. Sorry guys.

Almost happened to me a few weeks ago. I was able to miss the raccoon, but couldn't quite stop before the front bumper was over the curb and it dented the IC pretty badly. No leaks thankfully, though a new IC and some bumper paint touch-up may be in order.

Well, I can tell you that hitting a raccoon costs about 2K to repair. I didn't realize the lip was a separate part from the bumper cover. The carcass also knocked some kind of black box behind my gas tank loose and bent the bracket. My Father always told me not to avoid the animal, but I think I would have been better off in this case. Now I have an at-fault claim on my record.
