intercooler choice

im looking around for some intercoolers before i get my trifecta tune. does anyone know a good one too use? iv seen hahn intercooler for 700$ and then mpx and treadstone performance for around 300$ not really sure if i should pay the extra money for hahn or pay less and get just has much.

Mods- hahn intake, hahn intercooler piping, mpx 3inch downpipe w/ side exit exhaust

Teadstone all the way... I'd just get rid of all the Hahn **** and get treadstone... That's what I'm going with when I get my tax money.

i would say either treadstone or the revised zzp
the reason no one cares for hahn is b/c its clearly overpriced compared to other intercoolers on the market.

I got the zzp intercooler on black friday. Its a pretty nice looking piece. Quality welds and looks really nice in the bumper opening. ZZP service (for me atleast) is always spot on. My only problem is i had to redrill the mounting brackets cause they didnt fit that well.

Hahn,

Charge pipes: made of steel, able to easily rust over a small period of time. They have the.ability to break the do fuel pump connector. Look ok th, for about 9 months lol

Intake: made of steel, rust easily, shtty coupler setup meaning they are weak at the 90* elbow to turbo. It rubs bad.

Exaust: catback rattles but has decent sound. So its okish

Downpipe: one of the best I never had a issue with mine.

Innercooler: its a joke, litterally. Worst design ever. It rubs it hits every where it flexs way to much. Junk. Welded break, in the pinch aluminium it cracks . ive blown the.complete core off of the endtanks. So don't buy Hahn.

Zzp or treadstone....

I recommend both for different things. So its all your decision.

I think the rattle has a lot to do with the person who installs it........mine will be installed by John Powell so I'm more than confident with his ability

as previously stated, pretty much go with any of them. i personally have had the zzp and now have the treadstone (not a thing wrong with the zzp..i just got a sweet deal on an entire Treadstone kit). I love them both. they both fit good, perform great, look amazing, priced good. Other viable options are the Turbo XS, and MPX!!

Lot of good intercoolers out there really, just stay away from hahn. I love hahn's catback though.

I have the ZZP FMIC I have never had any problems with it. Fit's great and looks awesome! As far as Hahn Piping, I've had mine for almost 3 years now and have not had a problem with rust.

Well I don't drive mine in the winter aND I rust spray mine every year SO I don't have to worry about that and I beg to differ on the install my friend..........just like many different things that can be installed on an SS/TC.......people can screw them up during install and I know this for a fact.

For instance, my friend install his TWM very poorly and to this date is the only person who I have ever known to say bad things about TWM.........after myself and someone else looked at it we found that he adjusted the cable clamp incorrectly AND the base bushing were Not center correctly........

Now, he could have went on here and bashed TWM But instead it turned out to be poor install.

I get what ur saying BUT I take many opinions on CSS.net with a grain of salt due to the fact that many members live pay check to pay check and are forced to do there own installs or they ate just cheap and bitch about the price of things.......I've seen one too many Hack jobs
