that's because it is taller than the stock unit, the stock front mount looks "bigger" b/c of the fact its wide, but its not as thick as the tr8, and it gets rid of the plastic end tanks. Cudajoe did an extensive study on the cooling of the tr8.

I had to bend mine so that the intercooler would sit closer to the AC condenser bc I could not get the crash bar over it and get it to bolt back up flush. I think even in CudaJoes How To he had to bend his as well as many other people. That's good you didn't have to.

 

We had to do some bending and squashing on interviewatruins' TR12.

Just buy the ZZP. There was a poll, already, and ZZP pretty much demolished the competition. I went by ZZP's mounting, alone, and couldn't be happier. No other IC manufacturer or reseller can say that their mounting setup is even nearly as good as ZZP's.

 

Does anyone have dyno numbers with there ic to compare one ic to the other

 

there really shouldnt be a difference in power output. it does allow you to run more boost and timing when getting tuned though which equals a lot more power
