i was thinking either the turbo-xs or mpx intercooler to go on my stock turbo set-up...i already have the ZZP HOT-SIDE AND INTAKE though, but a Turbo-XS downpipe and it was great quality...

Do you have a pic of one of the turbo xs's mounted? The inlet/outlet being vertically in the center of the endtanks makes me think it has to hang really low.

i will probably get the turbo-xs because of quality, and the price is only like $479 for the core. The mpx is only $349, but i dont know about the quality, and zzp is $779 for the kit, and i only need the core..

You don't have to buy the whole kit. I just bought the IC for $499. Or was it $425? I don't remember. They just don't have them listed because they're out of stock until March 1st.

I think the dimensions of the ZZP IC make it a bit bigger than the Turbo XS if I remember right. Just order the ZZP one. They will have them back in stock at beginning of March according to Zoomer.

The old full size ZZP and Turbo XS are the same size, and they both hang too damn low. ZZP has a new version that is shorter. Bravo to ZZP.

Treadstone or ZZP short. MPx end tanks have a poor design, IMO, and the mounting is hard mounted (bad!).

so the TR8 kit is sufficient enough?..$300 bucks is a steal if its good quality..it sure does look a lot smaller than the stock one..

With the Treadstone and Turbo XS, the core won't fill the lower grille like the ZZP and Hahn do.

You want my honest input? The Treadstone is a great intercooler. I have the TR10. HOWEVER, it was not made for this car and bending the aluminum mounting tabs and crushing/sandwiching it between the car and crash bar is just not cool. I wish I would have gotten the ZZP. I am not happy that the ZZP hangs below the lower lip but you can order the higher clearance one to get around that. They say they have never had anyone complain to them about hitting the regular clearance one on anything but still......

thats why i thought the mpx one would be good because it is almost the exact size of stock and looks like it mounts right up with no issues...my car is low, and cant be hitting stuff because it scrapes already...thanks for your input man

I have the ZZP i/c and it does its job. It hangs maybe 1/8-1/4" lower than the front lip but not lower than the air scoop for the radiator. Its a very stout unit and would take one hell of a hit to damage it.
Zoomer even said that they would replace it if you can manage to damage it from bottoming out

One person did lunch his ZZP IC. I don't want to eat one up when I put a wheel on the other side of the nasty curbing on track, or I have a minor off. It doesn't make any sense to have one hanging down that low.

The tire goes at least halfway off the curb on the right side if you wanna go fast Sometimes all the way off. The dip on the other side of track curbing can get pretty large. Plus there are incidents like these... Oops

This is how low the ZZP hangs.

I have never bottomed the front of my car out, in the 3 years I've had it. My wife has to use it for one week and bottoms it coming out of a parking garage. My ZZP has a small scratch on it. Still going!

really i didn't have to bend any tabs or anything on my tr10 did you contact them. IMO treadstone is the best bang for the buck, its priced right, fits good, and sits high enough for lowered cars.
