I forsee all kinds of tuning headaches once the electronics get hooked up to it. Wouldnt a n/a or s/c motor be better suited for this application??

One thing I can guarantee you will need if you really want to do this without wanting to kill yourself is the factory intake off of an LNF car. Fabbing up your own and trying to tune for it will give you endless headaches. I would have probly suggested the LSJ for this application. But if it does work out..that thing is gunna haul ass!

thanks for the positive reinforsment.. honestly i did to alot of researched before i bought this motor.. do i know everything.. NOO but i know it will work..its hard to do research about something that hardly no one has done yet.. im sure theres a few floatin around but i havent found one yet.
on a side not ive already been in touch with cbm motors out of cali..there building a harness and tuned computer right now.. should be off the run stand today( yes i just got of the phone with them) for about $1300 plus being a drive by wire il need a pedal so anyother 125 for that.. soo it will work.. its just a matter of workin out some of the small details and plumbing it up and finding odd and end parts

you will need both fuel pumps (cam driven and in tank) basically find a wrecked 08 or 09 ss/tc and pull everything out of it except the motor, trans, and seats.
these motors are very computer dependent. and even still there will be probably problems getting it to run. Very complicated setup

im hoping epic WIN!!...

i think it should perform amazing also.. which is why im tryin to keep it light so i can hang with some of the bigger rails...those guys are close to 3000lbs..and anywhere from 400 to 1000hp

im tryin to stay under 1500lbs.. and be in the 300hp range

Not sure how set you are on the lnf...a lsj may be less headaches in the end....
But if you pull all the stuff out I'm sure you can do it.

haha.. i have a feeling that might be alil out of my price range

i knew GXprix had some ecu's ..but i think hes out of them.. il have to find out..

im tryin to deside if i sould buy the computer and harness and take it to a shop whos says the can build the harness and tune the computer and dyno it there..depending on what all he needs to do between 700 to 1100

or do i buy a complete plug and play setup from cbm motors in cali.. for 1300ish?

well considering the motor is already in my garage..and paided for.. i think im pretty set on it.. seems like alot of you guys either arnt a fan of the lnf or just think there to much of a headache.

i know its going to be alil bit of a pain.. but if i can get my hands on a plug and play setup it shouldnt be to bad of a deal.. and should make more power easyer..and will be easyer on the trans.. so i havent found any reason to try to talk my self out of it yet

oh its possible to swap i dont doubt that. I know a guy that swapped a MS3 2.3l disi into a plain mazda 3. The problem is just making it work and being one of the first to do it. Also with the fueling not fully hacked/understood/completed getting lots o hp'z is hard. But with HTP it should be easy to tune.

Oh we are HUGE fans of the LNF motor, but it is exactly as what you said for custom applications right now, a headache. They were just suggesting something to you that would be easier to tune in a custom project atm. The fuel tables haven't even been unlocked yet.

well i though so.. but hey things will never get figured out unless some one trys it and figures it out right???
i was going to go with a supercharged motor..but i found the turbo motor for about the same money . and it looks to be a better plat form for what im tryin to do so im just tryin to stay positive it will work out.

also guys remeber.. im not trying to make 400 for 600hp out of this thing.. im pretty much just going to transplant it give it a tune and be happy..well till next year then il probly want more power. haha..this rail should only weight 1500lbs.. so it sould be quick i would think
