Dude go try and find a wrecked LNF at a junkjard for the parts you still need. Take offs are probably waaaaaay cheaper than new. Just a thought anyways, I'm not sure how many LNF cars are wrecked at this point but there has to be some.

Is your mendiola the sequential gearbox or the "H" pattern? The sequentials are super win, but the normal trans is epic too. Are you using normal CV axles or U-Joints? U-joints add quite a bit more rotational weight but they dont break. And you can usually get more articulation out of them. Plus you don't have to worry about that gay little boot tearing after it gets beat up with sand.

I want to see a video of that thing doing a wheelie with slicks going down a drag strip. You gotta take it to a 1/4 mile and see how fast it is dude.

ya if i cant find a flange soon..im gonna start hittin up the junk yards and see what i can come up with.. the mendeola isnt a sequential..those start at like 12,000.. alil out of my price range..lol i wish tho!!...im probly just gonna run cv axles..i havent really seen anyone run u joints but an intersting idea..one friend of mine did use a setup kinda like a u joint..but ended up breakin them the first trip out. would be nice to find some that worked well tho

trust me..there will be plent of wheelies..in the sand..and on the street..it will for sure be gettin some 1/4 times..there re opening a track strip thats been closed since the 60s thats only 10 miles from my house..im so excited not to have to drive 1 1/2 hours anymore..

im really curious to see what its gonna run..we just finished up my cuz rail..his is just a beam car that weighs 1348lbs. with a 2.4 eco that makes 210hp...and i cant beat it with my supercharged silverado SS..( which runs a best of 12.300 at 111mph with a 1.67 60ft)..now my rail will be a touch heavier so maybe 1500lbs tops but il be makin alil over 400hp soo im thinkin it might be a good race agaist my 69 camaro..hahaha but i really dont know what to expect with this thing..if id doesnt do wheels..its goin up for sale i can tell u that..haha

When I had a DSM we called it an O2 housing. but yes give them a call they should have what you need. I have a Sky which is a little different than the cobalt in terms of exhaust.

They may just sell you the flange. I know I can get the whole down pipe for close to 200

Send Clear Image Automotive a picture of your project and he MIGHT send you a flange for free. Then again maybe not quite for free but I think he would be interested in your build. Dan is a great guy and I'm sure will help you any way he can. That's just my humble opinion though!

Where are you thinking about mounting one? I would get a little 4 core racing radiator and put it horizontally on the frame rails above the engine. Usually the rails have a little angle to them to aid in airflow. Put the fans up top to pull air through. Flex-a-lite makes kits. You could probably just go pull a cobalt radiator and mount it the same way.

Edit:

Example just an easy way. You wont have much rearward vision but who cares. Its hard to find a decent example since about 80% of rails use air cooled VW engines but I even found a 4 banger for you haha. You also have to remember you can generally use a smaller core because you have ALOT more airflow over the radiator. There is no body work in front of it and it is able to flow easier also there is nothing behind it so it just keeps flowing.
