no i dont have a harness or anything yet!...thats the part im working on..i can either hunt for all the pieces and try to put it all toghether and tune it myself

or theres a shop here in michigan that says they can cut the harness down , turn off all the things i dont need in the ecu.. and tune it..on a dyno for 700 to 1100 depending on what stage i bring it to them in

or cbm... custom build motors out of cali.. has been working on a complete harness and ecu that would basicly be a plug and play and already tuned for 1300 ish...they have been workin on it for 6 months and should have it ready this friday hopefully.. im first on there call back list so we shall see

Wait for the stage 1 kit to come out and a custom intake and exhaust won't hold you back since the stage 1 kit takes the closed loop learn down and switches it to open loop so the computer will make adjustments for aftermarket stuff.

ur a bastard. lol.

IF you want my 2 cents. buy HP Tuners (unless u have it already)

and hit some tuners up on this site.

once you have the engine in the car running. drive it around a little. and data log it. send it to a tuner. and they can help you tune it.

shouldnt cost 1100 for a tune man.

and if ur going straight off road. dont go stage 1 ubnless ur using the new map sensors for the motor.

Has anyone invented an inverted oil system for the LNF LOL .....You might need one .

Incase some of you don't know an inverted oil system was made for planes so they could.... well.....go inverted (upside down) .

its not 1100 for just the tune.. thats to make a harness and get it running and on the dyno.. just not sure if that includes the ecm and harness etc.. or if thats will me buying it all....

i dont have a harness or ecu or anything yet. just the motor and a frame and an idea..lol

well im going to use the trans out of a vw bus and the motor will be facing backwards in the rear..this motor is going to be alil much for that trans.. but the next option is to buy a 10000 to 25000 trans from mendeola..so i think il stick with the vw for awhile..

The bag of oreos sitting on the table in one of the pics.

Badass build but I have to agree the air intake setup is going to be alittle difficult and time consuming. That thing is going to fly.

Why dont you use the stock tranny. the f35 tranny was made for a v6. so a 4 banger pushin some power will b fine. maybe a new clutch. riding that clutch in the dunes wont b that good.

you could leave the stock box there. but I would get a custom intake done to pull the air in from the roof or way away from the engine

because the way the frame is build its a rear engine and the front of the engine faces the back of the car..if i put it the other way i would have to cut the frame up and redo it and make it a midengine.. and lose 2 of my 4 seats. or just mount it in backwards.. but then i would have 5 gears in reverse and it would be alil pokey going forward..haha with only one gear

im still tryin to figure out what to do for piping the intake..not really sure.. it would be cool to bring the air in from the roof but we shal see

Good luck, should be fun once it's working.

I have a gas pedal assembly that I am selling, it's from an LSJ car but I believe they are the same.

I wish I lived closer to you. I'd work my fingers to the bone for free just to see that thing hit the road.

Check with Painless Perfect about the harness. They do a lot of harnesses and engine management systems. I used them for my Fiero/LS1 swap including their ECU. Worked just like their name Perfect. Crate Engine Depot is, in my estimation, way better to do business with than GMPartsDirect. I had a real bad experience with them. Tom at CED is full of free info and has a lot of what you may need. He has a "competition" pedal set that you may be interested in. The throttle pedal comes as one complete unit from the tip of your toe to the electric connector. It is a little faster acting and stiffer than standard. Better control. Seeing as how you're going to need one anyway might as well get the best first. And if it were me, and it's not, I'd be on line to get a factory service manual if only for figuring out the electrics associated with the engine management. That system takes inputs from all over the car. The stock F35 trans with the Quaife LSD would be perfect for your application if it's not too late. That trans, in a car that weighs 1500#, would do everything you would ever want. Is your engine AND trans behind the axles? With the F35 you'd get a little more weight onto the front end.

I am going to follow your build. I envy the S--T out of you. From now on I'm going to shut up and watch. Promise!

I'm trying to figure out the tranny thing as well lol....It's a weird config. The Rear wheel drive Solstice tranny wouldn't help you any right? The the motor could be mid engine and inline with the frame ? I wonder if you flip the rear differential over and have it work if you wanted the motor facing the rear?

http://orlando.craigslist.org/pts/1365005889.html Used solstice rear DIff $100

YOUR HIRED!!!..lol you have some good ideas..no need to shut up..lol ive checked with painless.. and a few other places.. and they didnt have anything yet for the lnf motors im going to have to look in to CED for sure

about the pedal..how much do u want for it.. i was thinkin the lsj motors were different then the lnf.. or are the fly by wire pedals also??.. i do like the other pedal idea u where talkin about il have to see how much that one is.. if its affordable u maybe have just givin me a great hookup.. i never though about anyone havin a aftermarket pedal out already

as far as the trans goes..i know its alil hard to discribe..i never really understood it till i got in to rails themselfs.. anyways heres a pic of the type of trans im going to have to use if i was going to build the frame from scratch again i would probly do a midmotor so i could use a stock style trans.. but then u have to make sure u have anuf travel in the axles..il have 18inchs of travel all the way around..
