gotchya. i wasnt trying to argue or be a jerk. i was just wondering. sorry. didnt mean to call you out. all kidding aside though, when i had my high hp/ high torque fwd cars id do anything to make them hook more, not spin faster lol. i just dont see why SO many ss/tc's think its awesome to spin up that high. id be dropping the money into a rim/ tire setup that would USE all the that power that these cars make. ya know?

and yeah, on stock conti's no one will hit a sub 2.0 haha its too hard. but ive seen some guys fit a 245 w no rubbing on stock rim. so why not do a 265 w/ some fender rolling? imagine how much your cars would yank if they had traction.

if rims, tires, tubes, screws, mount, balance, etc. didn't add up to $700, i would already
have a sweet tire set-up!

mos def.

traction = lower e.t. I took no offense from anything; just stating as I think we were talking about the same point, just from different angles.

On this site, the lowest 60 I saw on these stock conti's (reported on top 1/4mile thread) was 2.01. I'd be damned to see a sub 2.0 on these stock conti's. High tq and High hp don't help either.

I've already touched 12's with that shitty 2.2 60 I had. Went a little deeper in 12's with the 2.06

DR's are ordered for this season.

so what im saying is (more towards wantedsstc bc skip jones, you seem to be trying to keep spending to a minimum) why invest money in DR's when you can only enjoy that at the track (for the most part)?
go find a used set of 8 or 8.5 inch wide rims in good condition for $500-800 and put tires on them. bc youll need new tires if youre running stock conti's anyways. idk. i mean to each their own and i see the obvious reason to buy DR's (to get the best time possible) but i personally am on the street more than the track (everyone is haha) so id like to use the power more often. plus, it'd be kinda cool to knock off an awd car or rwd car from a slower roll/ dig on the street. leaving the other guy like wtf!!!!???? haha

lowest i saw was 2.05. a couple lower ones (2.00 and 2.01) did not state what tires they were running in their mod list. your 12 second runs are impressive. i always give credit where due. what pisses me off is that everyone on here thinks that with a tune you are instant 12's. (as long as you know how to drive - lol).

I agree. There are some of my buddy's who think they're gonna hit 12's right off the bat without EVER being to the drag strip, ONCE!

I dunno, I'm content for what it is.

I'm willing to put up a small wager / poll that we never see anything added for the LNF, at least not our era of PCM anyway. I'll make a wager so that it'll happen because I believe in murphys law.

Yah more LSJ dev isn't happening, and they've said as much.

Maybe I shouldnt be such a debbie downer, but I just really don't see them helping out orphaned platforms too much.

I would def like to try out the Speed Density tune and ditch this shitty MAF..

Really depends on the track too. A person with the same tune that was on my car at a better track was hitting 12's no problem, I can't seem to break thru 13's on street tires at my track. My track is just awful tho LOL!
Do you know how many VE tables it takes to properly tune a car like ths with VVT and GDI? A lot more than the LSJs have LOL. If done correctly MAF tuning is better. A blend of the two is best. The MAF correction table we have mirrors a VE table as it corrects by RPM and load.

BYT - I currently run an HP tune with the pill mod. On a spike I see about 26-28psi with it quickly falling back to 20psi at 6000rpm.

Would your Trifecta/HP tune allow the car to hold 24psi throughout the rpm range?

The better question is... why are most of the other TF dealers clueless. I tried talking to my local dealer about this and basically he had no idea what I was talking about and insisted I had to fork over 350 for just the standard TF tuning session.

I kinda terminated our conversation at that point. No knock against Vince, be he really should do some on-going dealer training to keep them abreast of the options we have.

BYT is a HP tuner and went to Vince for some of his options to add.

Did you think your trifecta tuner that loads Vince's tunes on people's cars was going to be able to add HP tuners to your car???
