K&N SRI Vs. Treadstone CAI
I live in a rainy place so I avoided the cai.. I went with kn because it's a really well known trusted band, and WOW!! I love it. honestly probably the best mod I have. if you want to really hear it, and your stock bpv (sounds like an aftermarket bov) get that!. I'm just gms1 right now but I can honestly say the lag is a little but less and the engine noise and rush of air is a he'll of alot louder

Have K&N Typhoon, and its great even in the wet. I've had no problems with filter positioning (maybe I'm lucky
), sound is great, and I've had absolutely no problem with it ingesting water - its not as isolated as I'd like in terms of CAI's, but maybe that's why I have no problems in the wet!
As for a CAI not mattering on a turbo, I'd have to say, SAY WHAT? Any improvements to intake airflow, whether its N/A or turbo, generally leads to improved performance. Just because the incoming air gets heated from compression means nothing - because cold air compressed makes hot air, while hot air compressed makes REALLY hot air - anything you do to decrease the inlet temperature will improve the performance of any engine. PV=nRT says so.
