K04 oil... and water lines?

Hey guys,

I am doing a custom setup for a buddy with an l61 and I need to know if its absolutely necessary to run both the water/oil lines or if I can get away with just the oil for cooling.

He won't be pushing it hard 7-10 psi max. I think I should be fine, but i'm just looking for any input

Thanks

Yes I was thinking that as well I just don't see the point in it. Pretty much every turbo including mine, besides ones that come factory turbo run either water or oil, not both so I doubt it would hurt.

Thanks for the input

not all are.... usually only the larger scale ones were until recently but most are just oil cooled.

My 3076r is oil cooled only. The new efr's are recommended for JUST water cooling but you can run oil cooled if you choose

Just water cooling? I really find that hard to believe considering the extremely high speed and temps of the bearings. they would burn up fast.
