K04 Over-Boost Issue

Having yet more problems with my k04 on LSJ. Can the LNF guys come to the rescue?

Anyway, Doing some test driving today to see if my setup is operating properly. It isn't. I am running a Hallman ES MBC with boost source to the mbc coming from the compressor housing and wastegate line going in to the perpendicular port on the controller. I have a boost source coming off of my intake manifold tee'd off with one going to my BOV and the other going to my boost gauge. With boost controller set to 0 (no pressure on spring) boost is regulated by wastegate to 10-12 psi at WOT no issues.

NOW, the issue is when I adjust my MBC. I increase adjustment to attempt boost increase to my preferred point. With only MINOR adjustments, I was seeing 20psi at 1/2 throttle causing my cold side piping to pop loose from the couplers. I have the black rubber diaphragm of the stock BPV in place with no spring and the TTR block off plate. The diaphragm to create an air tight seal.

What could cause this overboosting issues? 20psi at 1/2 throttle doesn't seem right. Is there something that seems out of place? I will take pics of my engine bay tomorrow to show what is going on.
