I have it and love it. Ive been the only one to have compressor surge problems, which are addressed a bit in BTF's product description. I just have to keep boost below ~18-19PSI prior to 4000RPM. Otherwise i love it. Ive had it for about 9 months now.

I also plan on doing this, and I have heard of people having compressor surging problems, but they can be solved. I think it costs about $800 to get this done by BTF (Bald Turbo Freak).

Not tooo much more than the stock turbo..it'll certainly flow better up top but IMO if you want to stay with a small turbo you might as well go with a GT28.

I was also looking at doing the k04+ but the longer i thought about it the more i realized i have no traction as it is so id rather go with a bigger turbo that takes a lil longer to spool and lets me have some traction in 1st and 2nd gear. lol!

the ss/tc. u know how u were saying u experience minor compressor surge. like i was just wondering how bad it was, because i understand it's pretty bad for the turbo. and i understand sometimes when u up the airflow to the engine ur gonna need more fuel? idk not very mechanically savvy, this is the first car i'v tried to mod, kinda learning as i go.

this up grade was big news for a little bit on here then just dropped off the face of the earth. The only dyno graph I had seen with the KO4+ had kinda a rough tune, don't remember whos it was. I would love to see another dyno sheet on one cause I'm really interested in it. Still spool quick enough with exhaust upgrades for autocross and it's also Redline time attack stock class legal. I just want a little more up top.

I will be doing the K04+ this winter. I am shooting for 370-375whp, and its very obtainable. Of course, that will be a race only tune. I will be building the car for time attack, in a stock class for next year, hopefully street the following year.

As for compressor surge, it is mainly addressed in the tune, if there are any issues. I work for a shop that has been doing these to Solstice's for a while, and we have never seen any major issues with it. Also, it helps to have a good, free flowing exhaust too.

As for flow, it is said to flow up to 40lbs/min, which will support up to 400bhp. It will still only be able to run up to about 25psi of boost before you start overspinning the turbo. This is a good alternative for those in CA, or those who want to keep the stock turbo for racing class purposes. Otherwise, a GT30 sized turbo would be beautiful.
