LNF GM STAGE 1 Questions
LNF GM STAGE 1 Questions
ok so im thinking about getting stage 1 for my balt, but had a few questions. i searched around but didnt get the exact answers i was looking for. ok so would it be best to get mods for my car and then the gm tune, or could i get the tune first and then add mods later down the road. Also if i get the hahn intake with the gm tune are the a/f rations still screwed up? thanks for any help and sorrry again if this was sorta covered in another post.
you can get the stage kit first and add mods later.
There are no good intakes available yet. Most screw with the STFT,LTFT and AFRs
There are a few in the works and you are probably best to just add a K&N filter for now.
Downpipe is the first upgrade you should do after GM stage kit.

U mean 3-5 hp gain with catted or catless? cause im looking into getting catted. And will the sound improve with a catted downpipe? sorry with all the questions haha
The benefit to going catless is that you don't have to worry about overheating/melting your cat so you can "remove" your cat over-temp protection...but if you don't plan on getting a tune on top of your stage tune...then just get the catted one. Less of a chance you'll throw a code, and less noisy...but if you're going to tune on top of you stage tune, then you might as well go catless. for the slight power advantage during long pulls.

ok i gotcha. maybe ill just do charge piping and downpipe after the gm tune then, and hopefully k&n or vararam make a good intake that i can add to my car later down the road. thanks for the help guys
Any thing and everything you do to your car not stock will change how your car runs. You might no hear or feel it but all those things can help or hurt your depending what u r trying to do. Just by putting on an intake or charge piping can void your hole moter. I should know the voided mine for it.
and it doesn't matter if you install the bolt ons before or after since the gm tune is a pre set and is the same for everyone..
If you go aftermarket, install the boltons first, then get a tune..
