LNF vs. LSJ Flywheel
LNF vs. LSJ Flywheel
Hi guys, I just joined this forum as a proud new owner of an LNF. The problem is I need a new flywheel, part number 12612794, but noticed they were $500+.
I found another thread debating the LSJ GMPP clutch vs. the stock LNF clutch, and it mentioned that there may not be a difference in flywheels.
I find this very strange, how GM would have a unique part number for the LNF (compared to the LSJ) and a very unique price!
I don't want to run into any problems by taking a shortcut and ordering a LSJ flywheel, if that's the case. So I'm looking for some helpful input.
I can get a GM parts discount, but maybe ZZP is even cheaper?
Thanks!

I notice for the throwout bearing, ZZP states: "The factory LSJ throwout bearing bleeds off pressure when you press in the clutch. This upgraded throwout bearing will not bleed off pressure resulting in more accurate shifting, less grinding of the gears, quicker shifts, longer trans life. This is an upgrade that every LSJ car should have, aftermarket clutch or not!"
They are referring to the factory LNF throwout bearing.
