Lower MAP bolt spec

Mine looks like hell, and I can't find the other bolt which I'm no longer using since I have the 3 BAR sensors. Anyone have the bolt spec handy? I know it's a self tapping bolt, but I'd like to have a new one on hand before I pull it, again.

This is the only reason I would ever want to replace the lower charge pipe. I hate that we're screwing into untapped plastic.

I'll get this for you when I get home, Wanger. I bought a couple because I dropped one into my fan shroud. It's still there and unreachable.

Thanks. I'm gonna try to get stainless ones too. Mine is rusty.

Its not really self tapping, its just a machine bolt. Go to lowes and take the charge piping with you. I did that when I had my hahn piping and it didn't come with bolts for the map sensor.

I really don't think it's a machine bolt/screw spec. I just had it in my hand yesterday. It looks self tapping. Not talking about the top MAP. This is just the TMAP.

Yeah, it has the cutting tip on the first few threads so I suppose it could be classified as a self tapper but I think they call it a machine screw because the tip isn't really pointed or maybe just an automotive screw.

It's not a machine-bolt. It's a metal screw, going into a plastic pipe. Cheap crap, but it works. The original screw doesn not have the self-tapping sheet-metal end on it, so I bought this screw to match it exactly.

I bet you could get one with a socket head or hex head. Would be better than Phillips.
