LSJ Flywheel in an LNF???

Ok, so I have tried searching and haven't found a specific answer for what I need to know so I am hoping some knowledgeable people can answer.

If I get the GMPP clutch kit to run in my LNF, and I use LNF flywheel bolts and and LNF TOB, can I use an LSJ flywheel in it or will it not work correctly?

I know that you can use a LNF flywheel on a LSJ but if i remember right one of the mounting bolts are longer on the LNF flywheel i dont remember if it was the flywheel mounting bolts of the clutch mounting bolts

Interesting. Bump... I really wanna know because I can pick an LSJ flywheel for like $50... rather than spend more on an LNF one than I will for the whole clutch kit potentially.

I'm fairly certain that you can not use a LSJ flywheel on a LNF. If I remember correctly the crank bolts do not line up.

I don't doubt you one bit. Are they the same part numbers if so ? And if they are indeed the EXACT same flywheel. Why would the lnf one be $450 more dollars ?

Well from what I read the GMPP is the LNF pressure plate, BUT a SAAB clutch disk from the F40 transmission, either way my only question is on the flywheel because they look identical. ONly info I have been able to find is the LSJ is lighter but otherwise they are identical. I am just exploring all clutch options right now and if the LSJ flywheel will work on an LNF with a GMPP clutch kit that would be amazing.

If you look at crate engine depot, there seems to be a different part number and a big price difference between the LNF and the LSJ flywheel.

LNF: Ecotec 2.0 LNF Flywheel 2008-2010 12612794

LSJ: Ecotec 2.0 LSJ Flywheel 2005-2007 12584343

While they are using the same picture there is no doubt something with the LNF flywheel that warrants the extra price. So unless you really know what you are doing I would be extremely cautious before using the LSJ flywheel, even if the bolts line up.

Give your local Dealership a call and see if you can get a parts manager to explain big price difference between the two parts.

If worse comes to worse I will pick up a used LNF flywheel, still $100+ more than a used LSJ one, but better than $600... I was just curious if anyone ever tried what I am asking in an LNF since I know there are guys on here who do a lot of transmission changing and tweaking and working. I am hesitant to go with anything more than the GMPP clutch at this point because I don't want to break the transmission. My goal is to turbo swap next summer but even then I have heard the GMPP hold 400+ so it seems worth the price tag of under $300 for the kit.

Or why not just make your life simple and just buy a LNF flywheel from ZZP for $120. GM ACDelco - OEM 2.0L GM Flywheel #GM-12587274

No debate or question needed.... done and done

Oh and the GMPP clutch is not the same as the stock LNF clutch. Even Powell has discussed this. They are close but the disk is different.
