Turbo Whine when cold

So for the past few weeks I've noticed that my turbo makes a whining sound when the car is not at operating temp. It is faint and only whines when in boost. I dont push the car hard at all until its above 180 degrees and as soon as it starts to warm up it goes away.

Anyone else have this problem? Terminator told me his did it too but I just want to get some other opinions.

Yes it's much louder when really cold. I can even here a small exhaust leak under 30 degrees. It's 90 here now so I don't hear anything.

I think I have heard the noise from time to time. Primearally in the winter time . Not at all in the summer or warmer weather. At first I thought my turbo was on it's way out. But that was over a year ago. And the car works better now then it did then. I think its fairly normal.

winter = louder engine, turbo, shifting, suspension noises are very pronounced.. meh. If your turbo was smoking or something then I would be worried about a seal, or if you hear it more and the bearings were going.

Well just saying the winter does that. My MS3 was a noisy shifter in winter and suspension squeak. I've never driven my CSS in the winter.
