LSJ to LNF ?? Help Please !!
So i've benn looking for a tc for a few months. I finally found one that i want about an hour from my home. The price is not too bad. But my real dilema comes in the form of a few questions. First off. I currently own a 06 ss/sc with gm s2. and a few other things. Like a Ingalls td . Center force dfx clutch and air box mod. The car has 110,000 miles on it. And I feel its time to buy another car. I love my balt. I will no doubtedly miss the whine big time. But.... I have never obviously owned a LNF . And im sure its been asked a hundred times. Which I have read. But Im going to ask anyways. For those that have owned and drvien both lsj and lnf. What are your thoughts on the key differences between the two ?

Lsj < LNF
Edit: I have had both. The LSJ is a good motor but your going to have major issues getting over 300hp unless you spend a few thousand dollars on a turbo setup or tvs and look forward to a build to make good power. With the LNF go get a down pipe $200 and good tune $250-$500 and have fun pulling on vetts.

Ive had both. LNF definitely better than LSJ if you want a faster car. they respond so awesome to minimal mods. They are very quiet when stock though, and it sort of diminshes how exciting the car is to drive. A loud LSJ is to some extent more exciting than a stock LNF even though the LNF is faster. This is my 3rd Cobalt, not having one would be like changing my religion at this point.

i recently made the switch too. you'll love it for real. minimal mods will net you more horse than any reasonable modding on the m62 would get you. i wish i woulda made the switch sooner to be honest.

Well, Me too...I am picking up my new LNF tomorrow and I am stoked, However my LSJ right now is Faster than the LNF that I'm buying, The LNF has Hahn Charge Pipes, Dejon Intake(switching out for a K & N SRI) Stop Tranny Mounts, Stock Tune, Lowered on Eibachs, So you guys think once I put a 3" Down Pipe and HP Tune 24 PSI it will smoke my LSJ? Theirs a lot I need to learn about the LNF....

I went from LSJ To LNF about 4 months ago.
It was such a good purchase, I don't regret it.
The LSJ was fun and the whine I do miss, but I do not miss the slowness. My car is stock right now as far as tune goes, but I just couldn't think of going back.

Im getting pretty eager. Ive owned my car for alomst six years. It will be hard to drive away from it for sure... :-( But I gues i was approved for the loan pending them seeing my car and giving me for it as a trade in what is left owing on my loan. Which is only about $4000. So I guess my balt is still worth at least that. Its in great shape. So im getting excited. But the new tc is silver . Which I dont dislike. But Id love white or black. But silver will be ok. And the low rise wing on the back. I think i might actually miss the high rise.
On another note. Is the tc really going to be slower then my bone stock stg2 lsj ??

Word of advice, make sure you get the color you want. I got a Yellow LSJ and ******* hated it, I wanted Red or White LNF. Make sure you like Silver cause you will be stuck with it.

Not exactly. If you're comparing a stock lnf to a stage2 lsj, then that's a pretty close call to be honest. However a tuned lnf with no other supporting mods will put your stage 2 lsj to shame. Invest in a catless dp, cai, and a tune then forget it, you'll be solid into the 300whp range with the lnf..
