MAP SENSOR p0107
I've seen several pop on a car with a stock tune. Something in the no-lift shift process was causing it.
My friend has been through almost, if not more, 15 map sensors.
The dealership even tuned his car to produce LESS boost that factory, and it still blew two sensors.
The problem is not with boost. Unfortunately, they haven't figured out what the problem is either.
His repair bill and rental fees have probably exceeded what the car is worth by now.
Stupid gm.

This sudden high spike may be at least part of what's taking out these MAP sensors.

In all the cases I've seen of this problem - and one customer did manage to catch the actual failure it in a datalog - the MAP sensor is just going along reporting its pressure and all, and then all of the sudden it just goes to 0 kPa.
Weird they replaced the computer, too - that's the first time I've heard of that.

Last time I was tuned for about a month and right before I got the code P0107. I WOT on a steep hill, I wanted to fly by and slow slow driver, when I got home I turned off the car, waited a couple of hours and turn the car back on and bump the code popped on.
that's cause the repair printout the dealers have says to replace the computer if the map sensor voltage readings read anything or nothing lol it's a typo on GM's part and your dealer couldn't put 2 and 2 together to call them up and ask what was up. all they needed to do was replace the map sensor.

Normally the car will run really rich once it goes out. It no longer has the ability to properly calculate cylinder airmass and thus the amount of gasoline to be injected. The car will normally smoke and will feel "lazy".
Well knock on wood mine hasn't gone out in awhile, this on has lasted 5000 miles, would definately consider the 3 bar if you are tired of the CELs and rough starts. I still think that NLS has something to do with wrecking the corrupt MAPs
Found this thread and it answers a lot of my questions.
THE SEARCH BUTTON DOES WORK! OMGGTFOTMITGFT!!!!!
I threw this code yesterday. All was fine until I NLS making a video. Code came on after I shut the car off and went back out later.

Hate to revive an old thread, But I'm about to diagnose a map sensor for a friend tomorrow.
Anyways on to my point, has anyone found the cause for this? other then just blaming a humongously bad batch. IE boost spike, or spike in combination with engine bay heat wearing down on the sensor till it calls it quits.
