Map sensors stg1 $44

Well after a wild goose chase that lasted about 4 hours today i finally got a hold of some Gm stage 1 sensors. I got them straight from the dealer and came out to like $44.50 after tax. Now i just need the harnesses to finish it off. Only problem is GM charges $114 for the harnesses a piece !! so does anyone have a picture of what wires you you splice together? i may make my own plug and wire it my self. Any help is appreciated.

So with those connecter and harness without GMPP tune but a hp-tuner, It will be better for performance?

Wont work, you need the gmpp tune so the sensors are read properly.

subscribed. Dinas29, if im correct, this map sensor will allow you to log boost above ~22.5PSI, its a 3 BAR sensor vs. 2.5 BAR. Right now when i boost about 22.5psi, my datalog just goes flat at 22.5 until i go below 22.5 again. The performance is really gained by the flash tune.

Peachpuff, the tune is NEEDED? that seems weird in order for the sensors to work

Hptuners won't read over 22.5psi, something to do with some pid limitation. However if you take the 5v output from the sensor and send it over to the mpvi pro interface you could log the raw voltage and convert it to boost.

Yes the tune is needed, there are a couple gmpp tunes floating around on the hptuners forum.

You still will not be able to log above 255kpa, however the tuning ceiling of 255kpa is no longer there via tuning for sensor voltages . The logging is limited by the software, not the hardware in this case.

I don't mean to answer for peachpuff, but yes the gm stage 1 tune is needed to utilize the new 3 bar maps and then HPTuner can tune on top of the new gm tune configuration

edit: apparently peachpuff came back on while I was typing... lol
