Meth install problems.. before and after
Pretty good. It still does not like timing at all for some reason. I guess the 91 octane you guys have is pretty bad because he was knocking on 10* of peak timing 5* in the midrange on just gas. He is running almost twice as much timing on the meth with minimal knock on the last log.

I did not know you guys had E-85 out there. He can use a mix of E-85 and gasoline. He can use up to 2 parts E-85 to one part E-10. The LNF can handle up to at least 60% ethanol without surpassing the injection window.
Yeah myself and SCcobaltSS ( Chris ) are running E out here. HUGE difference. Ill let him know about blending.
If I knew you guys had E-85 out there I would have told him not to bother with the meth kit. Although, I bet his intake valves are getting nice and clean now and it does seem to help the performance some but not until the meth starts injecting.
That was my problem with meth. I had horrible tip in during daily driving. I could not even pass someone on the freeway at partial boost without knock. WOT was fine. Its too hot out here. Thats the main problem.
thats what i was told from alcohol systems. maybe i just forgot.
It's actually kind of convenient to have the blue dye in there. It'll make it VERY obvious if you have a leak in the system anywhere in the engine bay.
I agree with the person above that you really shouldn't be messing with meth if you haven't done the research. It can be an awesome way to gain power and cool down the engine, but if you don't know what you're doing, it's a recipe for disaster down the road.
Here's an Excel spreadsheet that will help you calculate WWF/heet combinations. Click on the "Super Blue" entry. What you want to use is -20F WWF. The labelling requires that they have volatile content by %. Pick up a container and read the label. It'll say 35% by weight on a -20F jug. Shake it and make sure it does not foam up (detergents). The cheaper the better. This guy's spreadsheet even has various brands in it.
Anyone that tells you not to run WWF simply doesn't understand what they're doing, and so they follow someone else. Buying pre-mixed 50/50 over the internet is kind of ridiculous.

I think GMpartsdirect you can get the "whole" bypass valve. Its like $60 bucks and I believe it comes with the tan cover thing, the spring and the diaphragm. I just need a diaphragm and I think I'ma have to spend the money for all of it
I think pookie looked into that already and found that they were on a national back order. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what he said he found out. I'm not sure if there was even a time frame given on when the back orders could be fullfilled. It definitely sucks because this could potentially happen to anyone really
someone mentioned in another thread that the diaphram is on national back order that was just a few days ago forget the thread, i think it was 1 of the many GMS1 problem threads.
