Gm says Meth killed my engine.
Well Gm voided my warrenty cause they figured out I had meth by the damage to cam and cylinder 1, that's where tick came from. Wish I'd known before, I'd hAve gotten a built engine frOm zzp, ***** costing me a ton, getting new engine, dealer says it would cost just as much to repair, and I get full warrenty back with new engine. Well expensive lession learned.

After intercooler, before map, I think I may have been using to big a jet, but I only ran one tank so idk. I. Still think it was the royal purple oil, started when I switched to that, and looked up online and alOt of people have blown boosted motors when they switched to it in the same fashion I did, they say it tturns thin like water when it gets hot and goes threw seals. But idk. I got not much more details, I'll ask when I goto get my car

No offense but royal purple is a waste imo. run the mobil one or even a thicker oil. the only way meth would destroy the motor is if it didn't kick on properly when needed and you have an aggressive tune which requires it to be there

I only used it once, and wish I'd had known my warrenty was getting voided, haven't had the kit on for almost a year now. I took the chance they wouldnt, but also kinda figured they would, dealer ssaid they saw no signs of abuse, but Gm guy that looked abviously has a better eye, I'm gonna keep her stock now

what were you using for meth? after a year of not having it on there wouldnt it be pretty damn hard to tell what kind of damage its done? unless you outright told them i cant see how they knew. i think they just threw an excuse at you

This, or you aren't telling the whole story. That makes no sense if you haven't had meth for a year and they said it caused it.

I agree with what he said. Their is no way to tell if anyone is using meth on a motor if the kit is not on the car. I dont care who you are no way no how. Meth evaporates almost instantly when it is injected into your motor. Only way they would know is if you told them or they saw the kit on the car.

Well the damage was done when it was on there, it's been ticking for almost a year now, my dealer know, and when Gm suspected, they investigated and my dealer told them. I had it at another dealer. And project, I'm not bitching, not really mad, I knew u gotta pay to play, I know it's my fault. I own up to it, and I'll pay with no complaining, just sharing so others r more carful, Gm techs know that causes what damage, I'm sure they have seen it all, just like if ud break a computer, I'd probably know exactly what u did by what and how broke

That is the whole story, maybe they arnt telling me something, but it did something that caused my oil pressure to drop, which I knew, and I guess parts were not getting lubricated enough. My oil pressure was like 20 psi at idle and it should be over 30 according to gm
