the s20g is a downgrade over the k04 and mexi loco is right it WONT bolt up to the stock mani.....so its your going to have issues later down the road and have to have a manifold build and the amount of money your going to spend in getting mani made or buying one from the vendors and that old tech turbo you can buy a really nice turbo for 500-800 more. remember you get what u pay for
I had a friend of mine tell me the ball bearing turbos didn't spin like everyone says. I piped the hood before shuting the car off and when I turned it off it spun for like 45 seconds lol. I love the ball bearing lol.

Is this based on experience with mitsu turbo's or are you pulling it out of thin air? I've owned a dsm for a long time, they're solid turbo's.

based off a lot of peoples talons and stuff in my area that come out on cruises and crap with us and one of my best friends s16g talon that had nothing but issues with this turbo..... the dsm motors are solid as can be....turbos arent a bad platform just arent up to par with newer stuff imo..... i dont pull anything out of my ass.

Thats what I mean, 9psi made 250hp. Imagine what that car is goin to make when we put in the internals and boosts it up to 15-18psi

He is considering the 6258 we have, I wouldn't state he has his mind set of a 20G just yet He will make a good choice.

I haven't made up my mind just yet. Only reason 20g turbo is in the pic cuz one of dudes out here I hang with knows a lot about DSM's, so hes tellin me to go that way and u guys r tellin me to go the other lol

To me, a turbo is a turbo. If this was a car I planned on keeping forever I would get the EFR no doubt. But I dont plan on having this much longer, maybe 5 years. Once a kid is in the question Im gonna need to upgrade to a 4-door. So probably a diesel will be the next project!

Seriously bro i would spend the extra money and get the EFR you could always sell it when your done with it and it will still probably be the best turbo out.

Idk, for what I want out of this engine, either turbo will get me there. So I just dont see y paying another $600 would be worth it, for another turbo.

Im looking at the EFR now, talkin to TTR bout it. Ill know by the end of the week if Im gonna get it.
