MPx Catch Can not catching; Install error?

Hey guys,

I've had my catch can installed for at least 6 months, perhaps even longer and it appears I haven't caught a single drop of oil. Or enough to make me not worry.

I don't think it's a defective product, but if I had to name a defect it'd be an install error by yours truly. I'm trying to work it out and I searched old threads, but it appears I have it installed correctly. So I'm a little confused as to what is going on with my setup.

If you guys can assist that'll be great!

This image shows that I have one tube hooked up to the far left side of the valve cover. close to the BPV right under my Intake breather.

This image shows that I have the other line right under the BPV on the turbo itself, which is also by the base of the intake tube.

And this is to show how much oil is around and on my catch can rather than inside it. Also the fill indicator is orange when it used to be clear. So it almost makes me think that it's evaporating.

I use gum out fuel system cleaner every 6000 Miles at my local oil change facility and change my oil every 3000 miles.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

do u have any steal wool in the catch can at all? if its just an empty can usually u wont notice anything get caught cause it gets sucked back out, try putting something like that in there, read up on it. thats what people started to do cause everyones cans pretty much stayed empty. if its still empty after that, be glad, means u dont have blow by.

Mine is routed the same way and I don't have any oil in mine either. The MPx catch can comes with steel wool already in it.

I installed a Moroso oil/air separator a few weeks ago that has an extensive baffling system and I still haven't caught anything, so maybe (like tomj said) some of us don't get a lot of blowby.

On another note, don't put steel wool in there because it can get sucked into your engine, use stainless steel pot scrubbers.

I think I should correct myself in light of this information.

The MPx catch can does have stainless steel in it. It's tightly packed curls of stainless steel that can be seen under the brass fitting where the tubes connect.
