mpx down pipe and catback?
mpx down pipe and catback?
Since there down the street and have they have them in stock I was thinking about the catted dp and catback package. Anyone run these and how do you like the sound and any noticable gain on stock tune? I would go catless but the computer is much more picky than my LS1 cammed TA and the exhaust smell is bad in traffic so i want the catted. Any info from owners would be great. So far just the k&n typhoon on the car and a 1step colder plug. I am good with ls1's but do not claim to know much about the TC I bought it as a good mpg dd but getting bored with the stock power. Waiting on the tune till all the piping, intercooler, and volt ons are installed. Funny all the bolt ons and tune cost less than the full exhaust on my TA which is waiting for a 9" since my 10 bolt is almost done again.

lol i'm not gonna try to decipher this either but I love that setup. not too loud when cruising, but deep and throaty when you get on it, and kinda rumbley when the rpms are dropping. didn't notice much of a difference without the tune though.
catless is the only way to go haha. also had mine on for a month or 2 before i got tuned.
heres a video of mine, sounds a bit louder in person. taking a better video next time the weather is nice.
ignore the rattle the heat shield was touching haha.

My brothers TC has the MPx catted DP and MPX catback and its great. Fitment was excellent, sound is very deep and fairly quiet at idle.
I plan on getting the catless DP and catback as soon as i take delivery of my TC

I also have the mpx catless pipe and catback. I like it a lot. Fairly quiet while cruising and at idle but definitely much louder than stock when u get on it. Doesnt sound ricey though, a nice deep sound. Id recommend it. Bolted right on no issues and looks great.
I'm pretty sure I had all the screws, but I do recall mine only coming with one gasket. Maybe I was only supposed to have one. But I would have much rather used brand new gaskets all the way through as the one they provides was really good, and I had to re-use stock ones in the cat back section. Used the new one from MPX between cat-back and DP.
well it rained so I had the day off drove down the street to Modern Performance and picked up the exhaust. Ya I got cheated out of the 3 screws and didn't check all the spelling when I posted this I was half asleep and my phone it hard to type on. Got lucky and my friends who owns a Midas wasn't to busy so we got it on the lift and less than an hour later I was driving. Kept all the stock parts just incase I need to reinstall for any major warrranty work. Sounds good and fitment was great just wish they didn't forget those 3 bolts because in my garage on jackstands that would have been a pain in the ass going down to pick some up in the middle of the install. Overall not a bad piece and one step closer to getting it ready for the tune.
