MPx Intercooler

MPx Intercooler 08-10 Cobalt SS Turbo - Intercoolers & Hoses

Seems like the best deal on the net, been waiting till the summer to get my 24psi tune. I figured this would it it a bit safer?

Anyone know the quality on these? Thanks

theres some threads on these. So far everyone likes them. They dont hang below the stock one so you have less of a chance of damaging it. Its the top one on my list, because of that reason.

So you probably wont get an IC much under $350, used even?

It's gonna be hard to find a IC under $350...YES! unless you get the CS IC which is 50/50

Also keep in mind you get what you pay for ^^^^^^

ZZP has their IC for 379 which is very nice and great quality if your not worried about it hanging a tad lower then other ones out there

If you are worried then I'd go with MPX's IC...people like it and is priced very well too

Put mine on last sunday, and love it. Install very easy once you figure out all the hardware to remove the bumper, lol. The only thing i would suggest is find a coupler to go from the piping diameter down to the intercooler size, since mpx put smaller diameter inlet and outlets on them But i just ran the t-bolt all the way down and so far no leak or blowing off. Other than that ILOVEIT!!!!!!!!

I know of one that sits higher than the rest if someone is worried about ground clearance.

robk: The bumper on this car is the single most flimsy piece of crap I have ever seen... took me like 2 hours just to get the damn thing on and off cuz of all the screws, and snaps and bullshit everywhere, god I wanted to kick a puppy when I was done.

I put one on my car last month. I really like it, fits good, and it's high quality part. The MPx IC inlet and outlet are a little smaller than stock. You have to really tighten the clamps. I ended up double clamping it just to be sure, not problems with leaking. Compared to the ZZP IC, it doesn't hang down as far, so less chance of hitting it on anything.

Factory used ones are going for like $250 but no point in going back with a plastic intercooler. I bought mine used off a friend for $50 lol. pretty much stole it. It was a precision intercooler abou the same size as treadstones tr10
