Idk how I haven't seen this build before. Pretty cool. I'm glad someone has the ***** to build the LNF. It seems like most kappa owners puss out and V8 swap it which is too bad.

I wish I could do something like this to my Solstice. I'm only running an EFR 6758 . I'd like to at least jump up to a 7163, but then I'd need rods, pistons, and cams minimum which requires removing the engine which I don't really want to do, etc. So following builds like yours will have to satiate my urges .

Well hopefully i'll beat lot of them and the 2jz guys for power. I always viewed it as cheating sorta. These motors are stout as **** stock let alone built. There is no reason you can't push them and make power.

Well here are some photos you can browse then:

Cheers.

Put a S-259 on it on 93 and leave the motor stock until it goes. It might live a lot longer than you think.

My cobalt motor was still alive after up to 500whp for 3 to 4 years. Then i sold it with the stock motor still kicking.

Things took time over the winter. Lots of custom fab work and the guy works full time so squeezing me in hasn't been easy. 3.5 Inch downpipe, full 3.5 inch exhaust, All charge pipes are 3 inch vbanded.

Should have the car this weekend, will be towing it down to the race shop to swap in cmiller8006's motor with stage 3 cams and phasers, as well as a clutch.

Then the tuning begins. Will find out if i need to go bigger on the hotside or bigger on the turbo in general to meet my goals.

Hell maybe the turbo is sized perfectly. We shall see.

Fab work mostly done minus charge pipes:

Custom intercooler made with a treadstone core.

Well. The car is fabbed up. Car is now at the race shop getting Cmiller8006's motor swapped in as well as a new clutch. Then she goes back together. There are just minor things now. Swapping sensors, new 02 sensor, making sure the power steering resevoir is welded on properly. And finishing the exhaust. Car basically will have a full 3.5 inch downpipe and full 3.5 inch exhaust right after the turbo. I'm running a screen filter on my turbo as there isn't much room, and it will sound better. Not going to drive this thing everyday anyway.

Hopefully I will have the car on a dyno in two weeks tops.

So...update.

We had a delay. When i picked up the car from the fabricator, it was taken apart and I was extremely disappionted in the work he had done. It was super sloppy, and the exhaust manifold was the worst of it.

I had to take the car to a new guy to do it all over again.

This time, it's much better. I have an equal length exhaust manifold that is a work of art. A new 3.5 inch downpipe, and better charge pipes are coming.

I also replaced my cast s363 turbo with a brand new S366SXE that was just released by Borg Warner. These new turbos are killer. I'm putting a custom .70 bullseye housing on this thing and revving it to 8500 with no ***** given.

Also have work starting on a custom fuel system to get us the ponies.

Stock motor is out, new one is going in ASAP.

I'll have further updates later, but i'd rather have the car done properly and face delays then to have it break down or not do what I want it to do.

Sorry to hear about the mishap. Hopefully you got things where you want them now. You can't rush a great build!
