cant say ive had/seen power loss issues with the car what so ever. even on our sky race car running e47. i road race the car regularly when the seasons in so what i have in the car works beyond great without getting excessive egts, knock or anything of the sort. the car can run consistently through all 15-20 minute sessions and even when i was doing hpdes it would run through the 30 min wear and tear sessions.

back then before the fueling and boost tables were available we had to make things work. made 442whp 450 ft lbs at 25psi at 6200rpm on our old mustang dyno before even trifecta cracked the tables and zzp was jumping the pump to get extra fueling. not to sure all of what my boss did back then but he was also one of the first to jump on the lnf when it was released in the solstice and sky. so he had a bit of a head start before the cobalt companies jumped on it.

matt at zzp is doing the tuning. after doing one more log session last night i still have roughyl 3* of KR. im back on base so tuning is hard for me right now. i have to call my brother and get him to go install the new tune do the data logging and send me the file so i can send it back to the tuner. im waiting for a response from zzp to see what needs to happen next.

The picture with the KR in the bottom right is where it was at first. The other picture with it kinda in the center and with lower KR is where it's at now.

Hard to say. Need to see the log file to see what the knock wave looks like.

I was hoping you'd only have knock in the "normal" areas that LNF's tend to sometimes have, particularly with a fresh flash. Unfortunately you've got quite a bit all over the place, including ALL wot cells. Do you know what the minimum cell hit count in the KR hysto table is set up for by any chance? 0? 10? 20? 50?

I don't know. Didn't know you could change it.

So im having a hell of a time getting in touch with zzp as I'm only able to mess with the car on Saturdays and Sundays. They are closed. So I've been watching videos trying to learn to tune out knock just to have 0 knock. So i made a log. Saw where the knock was went into my spark table and just subtracted the knock from the tables. Made another log. And the knock was back. So i did it again. I feel like I'm taking way to much timing out. And the knock just won't go away. Any advice on what else I should check as to what could cause the knock? Thanks guys.

Here's what my spark tables look like. I just feel like the timing is really low. It started off in the 11 's in WOT. Thinking about just finding another local tuner to do this. THanks again.

So I've been working on this tune. I'm getting much better at it. So i posted 2 pics. One is of the tune by zzp that has a **** load of knock everywhere. And my tune which has almost no knock. The 4 cells of knock at wot are caused by over boost which I am correcting now. It only happens in 3rd. I havnt gotten it into 4th yet so I can't adjust for that till I get a 4th gear pull. But I'm adjusting for 3rd and 4th the same for now as I'm assuming if 3rd over boosts 4th will as well. Let me know what you think. Also boost is holding pretty good. Average for 2nd and 3rd gear starting at 4000,4520,5000,5300,5500
5500. Is 22.24, 22.02, 22.66, 21.44 respectively. It falls off pretty hard above that. All the way down to 18.5 at 6500. Is that normal?

Yes, boost will fall off pretty steadily beyond 5500 will the stock turbo. Your main spark table isn't your primary issue here with kr btw and you also don't appear to be "over boosting" in 3rd.

If you are pulling timing and still getting the same amount of KR then it is more likely false. Make sure nothing it smacking against the motor anywhere.

This is extremely common on the LNFs. False knock is so common them it is not even funny and it is annoying because not matter how much timing you pull it does not go away.

Purge solenoid can cause it but there are a bunch of other causes as well.

I took my insulator off and left it off to this day and never ever had any false knock at wide open just a little midrange midload once in a while. I logged my car every drive.

mine kept hitting the AC lines by the Oil filter. I could hear it banging and would see <3.1 knock

Mine hits there. I never thought about it though. In fact, I may have thought it was the HPFP.

I am going to wrap it in something and see if it changes my knock.

Though my CAI is hitting the other A/C line.
I really need a new intake in the worst way.

I used a few pieces of foam in between on mine. Fix both and check that the lower charge pipe is not hitting on the subframe. Mine did and again put foam between it and the subframe.
