My parts list

So I have decided to use some of my income tax money to buy my parts. Do the more experienced people on this forum see any problems I might encounter using this variety of parts.

Hahn intake
CIA Chargepiping
Synapse 600HP Intercooler
CIA downpipe
Hahn Catback

Thanks for all the help in advance.

It's a nice appearance and sound mod but any real gain would have to be tuned for. Keep in mind these aftermarket intakes have been notorious for skewing the fuel trims in these cars.

you dont NEED an intake.....but you could make some extra hp from being tuned. tuning will make it not screw the fuel trims. you could always just do the stock air box mod. personally i would get all your bolt in parts and then tune unlike some people that tune buy a few parts re tune and the finish up bolt ons and tune yet again.

I have an Injen intake on my car. YES it does throw a CEL, and it makes my car run rich. HOWEVER, it CAN be tuned out if you take the time to adjust your tables. Once tuned you're good. So, you might as well get it on there along with your other parts, so when you do tune your car, it's already on there and you can tune for it, rather than getting a tune, then having to re-tune it when you upgrade.

if you wanna do it right and do it once, get your bolts ons THEN tune.

No need for Intake as these cars are screwy with them.

DP is the biggest gain for bolt on buck for buck.

DP, KN drop in, Charge pipes, tune and then wet your pants.

catback on these cars are worthless too for the amount of $$ they are. Minimal gain 3-5whp.

yeah, forget the catback exhaust, no need for it. just get the Downpipe, charge piping, intake (if your getting tuned), intercooler might be over kill (probably wont see a any gain but its an appearance mod), and tune.

Oh invest in some nice tires and light weight wheelz lol.

Thanks for the help. My plan is to get everything and put it on at the same time. Start at the front of the car and work my way back, that was the plan from the get go. When I get all that on il go get it tuned. Already got wheels and tires so I'm good there. Prolly get the catback just for the sound. Since I'm gona tune right away il get the intake as well. Ok since all that's settled I plan on putting everything on with a buddy of mine. Do yal know of any problems like figment issues or anything like that I might encounter.

If you want to do the airbox mod, its recommended, rather then going through all the troubles with the aftermarket intakes. I'm thinking of doing the airbox mod myself, just want to get a separate snorkal and the AEM intake elbow, then I'm all set. Still waiting for KN or GM to come up with an intake. I'm thinking of going to OTTP's chargepipes, since they seem very promising. Intercooler either Crazy Steve's, Dejon, or Synapse.

try running the car with the all the mods without the catback first.... see if you like the sound, I know some people cut up there stock exhaust to get it off... It might be the case that you like the sound of the DP with stock exhaust over getting an after market exhaust.

Stock exhaust is more than free flowing. As I said earlier, for the $$ not worth it. Intercoolers are worth it *to a degree however. You can run a tad more timing in it, but again, not worth the hassle IMO since the stock intercooler flows nicely.

Me if I was you, I just get rid of the CP "hotside" and go for either Dejon or CIA. The DP will be worth the investment and maybe the intercooler. I wouldn't go for the intake, just wait till KN gets their's released or GM Intake if that one ever does come out.
