Need tune recommendations
So I tried posting this before, and it disappeared.
I ordered my power mods, and I need to start looking at tunes.
I've read the Sticky about tunes, and tried to keep up with who's doing what, and what breakthroughs there are, so I am asking for someone to cath me up, so to speak.
Bolt-ons will be CAI, FMIC, piping, DP, hiflo cat/straight pipe (swappable), cat-back, and stock exhaust (for the time being).
Current mods (traction and appearance) are in signature for reference, but shouldn't affect this discussion.
I have a pretty firm requirement of E85 as part of my tune - Trifecta can do this, can anyone else at this time? And I mean properly, not half-assedly.
I understand there's a lot of love for HPTuners right now - why? especially lately?
I see that BYT and Terminator tunes are well-loved. What are these based on? TF? HPT?
I only want to go to 22psi (holding) 23psi (spike) - is there one tune more designed for this than the others?
I want to be able to continue to datalog after tuning - so I'll need to keep my cable? Or is that only with Trifecta?
Finally, I am in Las Vegas - who can tune me locally, and knows wtf they're doing? More importantly, does needing a local tuner depend on the tune?
Thanks in advance!

I understand there's a lot of love for HPTuners right now - why? especially lately?Recently hptuners has released more tables which means more tuning availability-more efficient tune/more power/e85 capabilities
I see that BYT and Terminator tunes are well-loved. What are these based on? TF? HPT?BYT does both tf and hpt tunes. With TF components like cat warm up delete. Term does hpt cant remember if he does TF as well. Both are highly respected on these forums

HP tuners has the ability to do complete E85 right now as well. There arnt many tuners though that know how yet. If you want to data log after the tune then you will need hptuners. Trifecta is nothing like hp. With trifecta your just sending files back and forth to vince so he can alter your tune till its right, not seeing and data logs or any of the fun stuff. HP tuners you can actually log your car and see what exactly is going on, Also gives you the option of tinkering with different set ups at any given time and not have to wait on someone to respond. If you want to learn to tune your car, see whats going on, and have the ability to change things on the fly then HP is your best option. There is a forum full of tuners using HP that will be willing to help you get started aswell if you have questions.

On a related tangent then - how does the TF/HPT combo tune thing actually work then? I don't mind the short version for dumb people, just trying to wrap my mind around the earlier suggestion.
It used to be needed for certain controls over the turbo and fuel pressures. Hptuners now has control over those aswell so no longer needed. You could use Trifectas selecta tune as a underlay though. Basically allows you to have two tunes programmed to the car and the push of a button allows you to change tunes on the fly. "E85, raised boost" You can send Vince a file you build or have him build you one and flash it to the car, then tune over it for your daily tune and have the one he programmed there. He does have the new lauch control adjustments. Probably the only thing we cant adjust with hp. He will always have the cool little trickets upper hand on little things like this.
