Saw this posted up and wanted to get some info on it it looks just like the zzp and turboxs any info would be especially if anyone has bought one already

dont buy performance parts off ebay.

 

My buddies has had a eBay ic on his gsx making over 600whp for a year or so no problem lol. Guess it comes down to luck

 

When will members learn, parts can only get so cheap in price before they are worthless. eBay is the worst place to get performance parts.

 

its just an intercooler. while I do not advocate buying parts from ebay...an intercooler is pretty basic. the worst thing I could see happening is the welds are terrible or the cores aren't good and it doesn't function well. Look exactly like turbo xs.

 

Who says that core even flows well? Intercoolers are far from basic, there are cheap, poor designed cores and there are expensive perfect designs.

That core may have more restriction over stock, and offer less cooling effects.

if i do get one i will let you all know whats up i was kinda wanting to hear from someone who bought one before i do, but i might just break down and get it

Honestly, it's hit or miss with Ebay. I would advise against anything that has moving parts (e.g., a turbo).
I had a BFMIC on my SRT-4, and the weld cracked close to the mounting bracket/end tank.

 

A quick Google search shows that dptmotorsport has some shoty build quality on some other products,almost all their stuff is made in china and is a knock off of some other product,now that's not saying its a bad product,but id be cautious on this one.


I hate the Ebay stigma , in this case it may be wise to avoid due to the lack of info on the intercooler (maybe try searching for reviews for other platforms to see what the quality of the product is like )
But not everything on ebay is junk,hell lots of main stream stores have eBay stores now. and other stores that started on ebay actually became repeatable in the industry CXRaceing, Megan,mishimoto are a few i can think off of the top of my head that are decent.

 

I've seen that they also make it with chrome CPs

 

I do too. I've known a few people who have bought Ebay turbo kits and make respectable power from them and have no issues. Its a damn intercooler.

 

most of the time its a bad idea, i understand they are some companys out there that make decent stuff and put it on ebay but MOST of its juke.

 

My concern with this kit would be the Pipeing that comes with it...it looks heavily edited(as dose the intercooler itself) in the photo.Plus the Maf tube is built in to the pipping ...if its not the right size it could cause tuning issues. Id look for charge pipes form a company that you know did their research. and as for the edited photo of the intercooler...check this out ...

You aren't kidding. The piping looks almost completely computer generated.

I would just buy the zzp intercooler package so you don't have to spend money twice. that isn't a real picture and I can only image what the real product looks like.

 

hes got a point........... zzp, turbo xs and the new hahn all look a like.... not bashing or saying them companies use ebay intercoolers.... maybe they can chime in so that everyone knows there is a difference. just saying theres a lot of similarity. and for the guys crying about welds.... heres someones intercooler. not the worst by all means but just showing whats out there. as long as they hold thats what truely matters because pretty welds dont always hold up

 

I've had a EBay intercooler on my car for almost a year n zero issues. I did build my own piping tho.

 

For that price id rather go with a good company..lol

Probably some Chinese concoction that makes the pipe bend easily.
