I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure ZZP dose all there assembly in house, their cores and maybe even end plates may come form god knows where but i know a good majority of there parts are at lest assembled by them. They all look alike because they are all made to fit in the same space ,and mimic the stock design.

and look at the pics in the link i posted, there is a difference between ugly welds and sloppy welds.

IMHO, cast end tanks are the best design for flow.

^^ its in the design of the end tank itself. If its a poor design sheet metal or cast its going to flow poor.

I've said it before, though, you want the intercooler with the least amount of pressure drop.
I've posted this link in the past, but it's a good one in my opinion: Intercooler Theory

Obviously you want one with the least amount of pressure drop but if you put a poorly designed end tank that flows like drop what good does it do? Just like having a huge inter cooler with a tiny turbo its useless.

Low pressure drop is not always a good thing.
to clarify you want to try and obtain the least amount of drop with the most amount of heat transfer, in most cases the best way to achive this is a larger core.

While I've never heard that low pressure drop is not always a good thing, I'll still check out the link. Appreciate that. I do agree that the intercooler needs to be fitted for the application (engine/turbo). Prime example: BFMIC on the tiny TD04, SRT-4 turbo. That stock intercooler was put in place for a reason: perfect match for the 2.4l/TD04 combination.

only thing on ebay parts like intercoolers is the fitment is always jacked up takes more time to make it fit than its worth some times.

Depending on core dimensions, sometimes it will require cutting of the front bumper and so forth. Also, the hot/cold side pipes can be a pain as far as fitment.

Haha. What exactly does that mean? 99% of what I post is from memory, or experience.

To answer the question--most definitely.

Why not just get it and throw it on the dyno and see what numbers you get before and after. The only thing I don't like about the kit is the pipes and the fact there is a BOV flange on it when it's not neccesary.

The f'in picture is a photoshop you idiots yet there is discussion on it looks like ZZP, and flanges, etc. Get a representation of the real product at hand here then discuss how cheap and shitty it truly is.

Yep, me too. Almost as big as the TR12. No leaks and no psi drops, works amazing. Always stays cool esp when I do canyon runs and tracking.
