after i tune my car and raise the boost psi to 23 with trifecta, will i need to get an upgraded intercooler?

 

you wont NEED one, but it would be best to get one so it doesnt have the plastic end links. I currently have a zzp for sale if youre interested.

 

The IC from zzp that dayhoff has is definitely a good choice. Usually if you are on stock turbo you don't need it, but for sure it helps your performance, expecially if you are thinking to do something with the engine or with the turbo down the road

For a fellow Louisiana cobalt owner haha. I've been on full bolt ons and 23 psi Trifecta tune for about 30k miles and have had no problems with the stock intercooler. As others have said, if your going to stay on the stock turbo with just bolt ons, a new intercooler is not needed. The stock intercooler is kinda iffy with the plastic end tanks and stuff so I'm just waiting for it to break and I'll get me a ZZP intercooler. Or I'll wait until I get a ZZP turbo kit, whichever comes first.
