No boost after installing CAI

hi i'm new here so be gentle lol. I recently installed an Aftermarket cold air intake. (not even sure of the brand might be spyder) and it was running fine for a few hours and then on a trip to the store my engine lights came on and now my turbo sometimes doesn't want to gain boost and randomly it will start to gain boost. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I'm assuming I just need a tune but I am not sure as for i'm slightly noobish.

also if this helps its a 2009 cobalt SS/TC all stock minus the CAI

Thanks! =)

I'd almost bet its unrelated to the CAI, but it could be. Might want to think about purchasing the torque adapter for andriod

Make sure you put the MAF in the correct position with the arrows.

Yep. I'd say after using mine that it is a must have for anyone. I've only had mine a couple months and I've used on all 3 of my cars. I don't use it everyday but when I do I'm glad I spent the $30 I did. Best investment so far.

I'm assuming if the intake through off the fuel trims bad enough the car would go into reduced power mode?

What intake? And yes it matters which one haha.

Well seeing as iv tried installing one backwards on 2 different intakes just to see, and the bolt holes didn't line up and u couldn't put one of them in, I'm pretty sure.

This is the answer. I had this happen to me with an intake. The air was so jacked up flowing over the MAF that it caused limp mode several times. Took that garbage off and threw on a KNN sri.

OP. Take your intake off for a day and i bet your problem goes away. Take the intake back, get a refund, then buy a KNN SRI
