O2 sensor replaced

Better access from the top than bottom but hard to get at either way. Modified my O2 socket to 1/2" slot at the drive end to be able to get it over the cable on the sensor without F'in it up.

3/8" drive and a 3" extension on the socket worked out.

I'll log it later but I had no real issues other than wandering LTFT's before, more of a PM here with 31k miles on it, 22k tuned and some leaded 110 in the past.

LTFT's seem to have settled in with less wandering but I'll update it after a few more days. Logged a brutal flogging or two today but after dialing in the MAF cal at WOT I need to let it settle in again.

Did you do reset VCM in the scanner?

Loaded a new MAF cal tweak in a cell or 3, didn't that reset it when I did a write cal?

Tweaked the tune this week, much easier to get it dialed in with the new O2, I guess the old one was causing me more grief than I realized.

Beat the hell out of it on the way home tonight. Some damn Subi thought he was fast. lol.

Anyway, some areas of the MAF are + 1~2% and some are -1~2%, but overall LTFT's stayed between -0.8 and + 0.8 the whole trip including stop & go crap.

Running quite well. I'm going to tweak the last % or two tonight and log it next week.

New O2 FTW!

Popped out the O2 this evening... it looks surprisingly... normal. Nothing beyond what I would think something directly in the exhaust flow would look like.

No clogging of the holes or anything. I guess I'll pop the new one on just to see if there's any change.

New vs Old

Update:
Been back for a while from the test drive. It maybe idles a tad bit better, but the random erratic AFRs still happen. I'm possibly going to look into checking the evap purge system. Perhaps it's just the nature of the beast...
