Do you ever take your car on long trips? If so how do you stand having no cats and no muffler. I know turbo cars are quieter than na ones but still I cannot imagine cruising at 3000 RPM on the interstate for an hour or more listening to the drone.

Dude you are crazy, I used to have a mustang with full exhaust and it drove me nuts while cruising and I had 2 highflow cats and two mufflers. Can you imagine how loud your car would be without the muffler on it.

Here is my 08 T/C with a straight pipe no muffler. Not sure the vid does the sound justice. IMO it sounds sik.

Sounds pretty quiet considering, but you still have your resonator and two rather large cats keeping thing a little quieter. My car is a little noiser now with the Hahn catted DP on there with my stock catback. It will be alot louder when I get my 3" catback with no resonator and a 5" round Borla XR1 racing muffler.

That is the muffler casing diameter not the tubing size, if that is what you are thinking. The stocker is about 12" around and the size of a damn trash can.

Dual exhaust on an inline 4 cylinder is purely for looks and is in no way functional. It will just add unnessary weight and clutter under the car IMHO.

Side exit would sound louder in the car and about the same outside as out the back. I dunno how it would look on a TC though especially with the gap left in the rear bumper after you remove the stock style.

Do you have any specs or price estimates on it yet? 3inch and what muffler will it have? will it all be flange bolt together?

I have their 3" stainless catback with the 5" Borla muffler on order. Cannot beat their price at $405 or $330 for aluminized. Just make sure you order a 3 bolt flange with the kit and 3" inlet size because we all have 3" down pipes even stock.

I too used to think the stock DP was 2.5" originally but a remembered someone saying that it is 3", and when I removed it to install my Hahn DP I confirmed that it is indeed 3" except where GM has it crushed down to 2.5" where the O2 sensor goes
