Oil??

This is absolutely redic. but I just did my first oil change in the balt and I can't read that damn dipstick for nothing. I've got a hair over 4 quarts in and it looks like its reading full. How much oil do these cars normally take?

I sure appreciate it, getting ready to go on a 6 hour drive and didn't want to screw anything up!

It's page 5-125 of your manual.

5.0 quarts or 4.7 litres. I don't pay attention to the dipstick during the fill, I put in the 5 quarts.

5 qts. overfills mine, I know that's what the manual says but I use 4.5 and it reads full on the dipstick.

i have a **** load of tools (lift being one of them) and i dont have a damn tool to get the oil filter thing off all the sockets are to bulky (impact ones)

i was gonna put that good ol walmart supertech in it.. its rebottled Havoline supposedly but whatever it is i'v had it in the past 4-5 DD"s and alot of people with LS1's have been using it with much success.. i will change it out at 3-3.5 doesn't matter what the oil meter says.. oh and there is almost 1,800 on my car atm was gonna change it out now i feel thats already to much on the original oil

little read on it for u guys
