Since the ecm's boost (airload) map is rpm/load specific, you're not going to see gain's anywhere.

I have not yet installed an AM intake. However, I know that when I used an oiled filter on my Duramax, that initially there was a good gain in performance, but after many miles, the performance seemed off. I installed a new MAF instead of cleaning the old one, and I thought I had dropped in a new motor. It will be interesting to see if the oiled filter has the same effect on the LNF.

It's really easy to determine which type filter is best for your car. Go to the parts house and compare the filters side by side. Pick one up and study it. Then pick up the other one and study it. Whichever one puts the biggest tilt in your kilt is right for you.

Issues in the past causing CEL's on people's cars was typically caused by people not tuning the car correctly for a change in diameter in the housing the MAF was housed.

Few people actually threw CEL's because they over-oiled the filter, but it does happen if you don't know what you're doing.

Regardless, it's been proven that you will make more power with an oiled filter compared to a dry-flow...

Regular maintenance is no more difficult than changing a headlight bulb or your own oil. Not really an issue...

ya. i threw codes on my 05 aswell as the car started idling like ****. it stalled a few times too. the oil was getting on the sensor that screws into the Injen piping. i had to clean it with that spray MAF sensor cleaner. after that, it was fine but that sensor got gummed up alot. i dont think im gonna go that route on the tc, just to avoid any potential problems.

just to throw it out there, the filter on the Injen came preoiled and it caused problems from day 1, so its not like i over-oiled it.
