Angry over revved the engine :(

well my ******* wasnt paying attention and put it into 2nd instead of 4th.

i wasnt racing or beating on my car but it was a little spirited and i let my foot off the clutch a little fast.

rpm jumped up to 8. lol.

anyways, car runs like total ass. i had to limp it home and it barely made it. i have massive misfires on cylinders 3 and 4, my map sensor went out, and all kinds of wierd stuff.

luckily, theres no smoke at all, i believe the bottom end is fine.

im going to take off the valve cover tomarrow and see what the damage is. im pretty sure i obliterated the lash adjusters or something, its pretty bad.

i had no power and my bov was going crazy too.

anyway, im pretty embarrassed i did this but **** happens.

any advice would be greatly appreciated. i dont have much money at all to fix this unless i decide to go through insurance (which i dont unless the engine is effed.

Decided to make a video so u guys can hear the damage

Aw man, that's ******* awful to hear

Guaranteed you messed the valvetrain big time. Pop that valve cover off and you might see a nice mess of lash adjuster, rockers and quite possibly some bent valves...

Time to get a new upgraded fully assembled head from ZZP.

check under you valve cover first, but to fix this i would say replace the whole head if valves are bent or demage is worse than that. just dont turn on the car anymore until you sort things out.

First step as mentioned is pull the valve cover and go from there. Take pictures of things in question so we can help.

I think it's time to start a Dart_SI fund raiser!

another reason why kansas is gay.

Post an ad looking for a used lnf head. Inspect the used head to make sure it is in good condition. Buy a new headgasket from zzp. Put the used head on. Done.

I've done this same thing. I just snapped a lash adjuster. I got luck that it didn't roll around and hit any of the rockers and cause any problems.

Word of caution. If you end up with bent valves, the piston needs to get swapped too, or you'll likely end up with some extra knock there from the nick in the piston.
