Oxygen Sensor

So earlier today I installed a ZZP High Flow catted DP on my 2009 cobalt SS, and I had minor issues until i got to plugging the oxygen sensor back in. After putting the new DP on, my O2 sensor will not reach the plug, and its about 2 to 3 inches too short. I've tried everything to try and make it plug in, but it just wont go. Has anyone had any other issues with this, or am I SOL and have to buy a longer O2 sensor? If anyone knows please let me know.

Pretty sure you have to remove one of the mounting locations. It will allow a straighter path to the bung.

Got my car back on the lift now, I can't seem to get it to reach. I don't feel it's mounted to anything. I reached my hand towards the hose and I can feel up to where 2 other cables connect. Please help

Would it just be easier to have someone splice the cable and then make it longer?
