oxygen sensor problems, I'm stumped

I did this check when the car was hot. I'll try again when it cools off.

My battery is about 6 months old.

The ground is under the passenger headlight.

Chances of you getting part infancy failure on two brand new parts is low. You didn't touch the tip of the sensor, did you?

While still not all the way cooled down but significantly cooler, I measured again. I got the same results. Also, I have the stock ECU, a Trifecta ECU, and an HPT ECU. I tried all three and had the same results. 08, you owe me a beer because now my radio station presets and time have to be reset.

I started Binging short to voltage. It is just basically a potential being present on a wire that is supposed to have no potential, so it's just another form of a short circuit. I've been an electronic technician in the semiconductor field for 20 years, and I've never heard reference to a short to voltage.

You've already ordered the ECU, so I guess we'll see how that goes and move on from there.

Yeah i just tested mine again on lunch break, and got correct voltage to the first one this time that had been high before, and all three other are about 1 volt less than they were before LMAO. Everything completely changed, except the heater wires are still good at 4.88v and 12v lol. Ground is good, checked it physically and resistance.

Cleared the codes and when it hit closed loop, it fell on its face and "engine power reduced", and P2105 throttle actuator system forced engine shutdown and the O2 code.

Ridiculousness.

and theres no short to voltage then from what you said, when its off, theres no voltage present to any wires except the 12V to the one heater wire.

Sorry about your radio stations lol.

My bad, neither do mine. Voltage has jumped back up to high side again lol, i hate this car.

I also just emailed Tom at CED to ask him what are the chances of getting two bad brand new sensors lol and what he suggests. We'll see what happens after the new ECU friday night. There goes $98 for a stupid flash.

Car is fixed, was a fried circuit for the o2 sensor inside the ecu. New ecu, problem solved Thx guys.

Internal PCM failures are so annoying!

Glad it fixed it though, last thing you want to do is start digging into the harness.

Already did all that lol, last thing on the list was replace the ecu. So nice to be able to have some power again and not burn through gas like no tomorrow lol.
