Hi everyone, I don't post on here much but would like some opinions on this code and what I should do next. I'll start with this. Last winter I replaced everything timing related on the car when I did cams and valve springs replaces everything with OE parts including the cam actuators, cam gears, tensioner, guides, chain, literally everything. I'm figured might as well while I'm there. Car has been beating hard for the last year and a half since I did everything. Car ran great no codes. I drove it 16 hours to TX2K14 this year, raced it all weekend and did fine. The last night the car started throwing a misfire on cylinder 2, I didn't think anything of it and I'd fix it when I got home. Before the trip this year I replaced my o2 and plugs since I run E85 and the o2 sensor was getting pretty lazy on my scan tool when I checked it. Drove it home in the rain for 16 hours, raccoon ran out and cracked my lip and pushed my fog light out (of course the side the intake is on). I covered the hole so not much water could get in plus I have a hydro shield which I know won't block everything but it did it's job. Got home changed the oil the next day but a couple weeks later a code started randomly started coming on and it wasn't the misfire on cylinder 2, it was a correlation code (P0016 correlation between intake cam and crank sensor). Well my intake cam sensor was leaking a little so I replaced it and code stayed on. SO next step was to scope the crank sensor. Well I looked it up and the sensor was only 20 bucks so I said screw it and threw it in, well of course code is still there. At this point I don't want to tear the motor apart since it still runs fine, the only difference is it doesn't lope on cold start like it used to with the cams. I wouldn't think it jumped time since I replaced literally everything while I was in there but I don't know what else it could be at this point. I could scope the correlation between the crank and intake cam sensor and see how it looks but I'm just asking for everyone's opinion at this point. Sorry for the book just thought I should give you all the details. Car has 66,000 at this point.
