p0100/boost leak/running rough
About a week ago my car started whistling, and then yesterday when I got home from work and went to pick the GF up my cel came on and my car started running rough, surging, and not boosting intermittently.
I went to look at the MAF today and noticed that 2 hoses (one from the BPV, one to the charge pipe right after the intercooler) were chewed through by what appears to be rats. I cut the damage from the hoses because the damage was right at the little junction block on top of the intake. I reset the light and took it for a ride, No more whistle, and car was running good.
Then I started it back up and the cel came back on. Surging/running rough/not boosting intermittently again.
It still has a kind of droned out whistle sound which I think is normal (almost sounds internal?). I did buy it that way.
I researched and all I can find is that it may be wiring, may be the MAF or one of the boost sensors, boost leak, or maybe the ECM.
Either way I'm going to have one of my co-workers look at it tomorrow to get a fresh set of eyes on the problem and also is going to be put up on the lift to see everything I can't in my garage.
I did check the wiring at the MAF and it still all looks solid and the terminals in the connector are still firmly inside the housing. I did cut the damage from those hoses.
Any suggestions for when I look at it again tomorrow?

I'm at 15k.
I'll throw the tech2 on there tomorrow at work and see what's making it throw the p0100. If it's wiring it'll show.
I'm going to take my bumper off and spray everything down. The stock I/c and charge pipes has to last until I order my zzp set
I did have a boost leak but I've reset the code since then. Hopefully nothing else is cracked/chewed through.

i had a similar problem and it was a small crack in the stock IC piping. mine ran like crap and wouldnt build any boost because it obviously had a boost leak. something may be causing yours to go into "limp mode" could be wiring or a boost leak or something. but if you are building full boost then it shouldnt be a boost leak. not sure if you do or dont build full boost at WOT

ahhh i gotcha. well a boost leak was my first guess because i have had that problem with the stock hot side piping. how do you like your zzp intercooler? im wanting to get one soon
